Executive Summary:
We are a mining/production corp that has decided to go public and is seeking capital to help purchase/fund our first BS BPO purchase. 400 shares will be available to the eve community.
Operating Procedures:
We currently control the market where we reside and control all mineral buy orders from local miners. We have an incorp policy where all corp members must sell their minerals to the corp at below jita cost. Currently we have all the tier 2 BC bpo's and use these to spearhead our production lines. What minerals we cannot get come in via freighter/carrier. Ships are then built and shipped out via friehgter/carrier to local mission/pvp hubs. With the bs BPO we will buy it research it and then start production all while continuing our profitable BC production line.
Competition:
Competition will be other manufacturers/sellers in our area of operation.
Competitive Advantage:
Our competitive advantage will be to buy low and sell high. We know exactly what we need in order to clear production cost. Our logstical capabilty also plays a key role in getting the minerals we need at the cheapest rate possible.
Personnel:
We are a group of 7 friends with their alts. We all attend a university and currently are in the Entreprenuership program. This joint-venture is a class project for us. We have played this game for some time and have a pretty good grasp of the market and economy of eve.
Financial Analsys: We require about 1B isk to acquire our raven bpo. Every 2 months we will do dividends. After 12 months a share buy back option will be available. You can expect an ROI around the 4 month mark. After 12 months if you decide to not sell your shares back to us dividends will continue.
Available Shares: 400 Shares Price: 2.5m Minimum Buy In: 20 Maximum Buy In: 250
If you have any questions please eve mail me ingame and I will get back to you within 24 hours.

Not sure if it's impolite or not to post this in your thread, but:
You might wan't to take a look at The BIG Deal
It's specifically set up for upstart BS production people/corps.
It would allow you to save on dividends and allow you to diversify your BS product portfolio (without *having* to buy all BS BPO's)
Just a thought.
Contact me via EVE mail if you have questions (so we/I don't hi-jack this thread more than I already have)

You sound like your well established and have a decent turnover (controling markets and all), a billion should be chicken feed between a 21 man indy corp, no?
Just curious.

You do realise that you are not making great profits on your BC business. You are making great profits on your mineral business.
You are buying minerals at under market value. Whichever form you sell them is where you make money.
Secondly, to run a BS BPO you need approximately 2-3x capital cost of BPO to keep it in perma production. BS production only makes good money by running 24/7. You then need to sell those Ravens, whilst building the next batch. requires a lot on minerals.
At least 3-4B is required for this enterprise.
If you raise money, people want divs right away not 4 months later.
The return will be very low for possible investors with delayed start. You haven't even stated how much you expect to make. Under 10% profit on manufacture, after some sort of management fees ROI will be aroudn 5-6%.
Your competition will also be producing AT the mission hub using 50/20 (me/pe) BPO's. If you want to undercut those competitors, go ahead and they will buy your entire Raven stock and re-sell at a higher value.

Sorry just looked at your BIG DEAL, and its really a BIG RIP-OFF.
You pay 10% of BS BPO and get "1" BPC per week. That isn't even 10% of the copies you are making in a week. 52 BPC's a year which is worth about 52M ISK. Barely pays for itself over 1 year.
Really you are getting 10 people to buy a BPO and you pocket half the BPC's.
If you want to get into cheap BS production just buy BS BPC's off contracts at 1M ISK per go, and they will have good ME/PE. When you are ready to buy a BPO you can usually get 1 off contracts already researched at close to NPC price.

Cosmoray is right, however I believe we should focus our attention on the scam at hand.

we never once stated how much was in our corporate wallet. We have thought this over and with current stockpiles we have enough to produce several ravens. The point is that while we are researching this BPO we will be producing and selling our BC's which will improve our capital by the time the raven comes out of research.

A 1 year 3 months 5 days old alt asks for 1B isk on behalf of his corp. Mining focused, of course, and they want to buy a Raven BPO. Yeah right... hahah

and just to add to that some people have to serve their country. I for one was in the middle east during that time period but thanks again for ruining my business plan.

@ OP Um if you where actually looking for investors on these boards you'd have to have a business plan that actually made sense... No one but yourself has scared of any potential investors. We are a little smarter than Jita... well some of us anyway.
And I really want to know what rotation your on if your actually "serving" your country ----------------------- The answer is 42 |

You are seeking help to purchase a bs bpo while raising the entire cost of the bpo with public money.
Why are you not investing in your own "ipo"?

You didn't HAVE to serve your country (unless you were drafted). Sounds like you regret it
The only person who ruined your "business plan" was you. The OP was lacking detail, a few challenged it and you get defensive then cast blame.
I'd say revise it, but it's too late.

you should be able to get an unsecured loan from ebank for a bil, cost you less in the long run.
Big deal does work, it got me started, its been a while, but as i recall the bs bpo makes 11 or so copies a week (this was before pos's) so big get at least 10% return, you get bpc to start production without the 1bn outlay, as you earn buy more shares till the 10th one gets you the bpo.
3rd option is just to buy bpcs off contracts, avoid the overpriced 100me ones, something about me30 would be fine, this lets you start production immediately, the cost of the bpc is probably less that the ROI you'll be paying out, and if the raven market tanks your not left with a bpo of little use.

Hey! I jumped feet first into BS production. Granted, I did it for about six months before I bought that stupid megathron BPO but...
7 people running L4s or ninja ratting in 0.0 will produce a BS BPO in approximately 8-10 hours. Assuming 2 accounts per person (alts were mentioned) you should be able to mine one up in a weekend or two.
I call BS on this as well. Unless you're willing to secure the BS BPO using the BC bpos as collateral, that is.

What I don't understand is why you set your sights so low. With how easy it is now to grind out 1b I don't see much need for any group of experienced players to seek public capital like this. If you revise your plan and ask for 5b to cover mineral costs and get a jump on continuous production you'll have better luck scamming.

I know this was already brought up in another thread, but that right there is why we see so few 'legitimate' IPOs, bonds, etc. The people who know how to generate income have, unsurprisingly, already done so. They don't need extra money, and they'd prefer not to be bothered with the responsibility.
As a result, we get the ******s, newbies, and losers of EVE - people without a clear idea of what they're planning, idiots who thought up their plan in the time it took to post their topic, and scammers who... need I say more?

I've been extremely disappointed by the crop of available investments over recent months, it has been an almost uninterrupted flow of dross and drivel. I've gone from investing in several IPOs a month to going several months without parting with a single isk in investment.
I think it's a terrible shame that so many of these proposals come out half-baked. The MD community then, as should be expected, destroys both the proposal and the credibility of the proposer during it's critique.
I feel that what many of these people need is a mentor to guide them through this process, or in many cases guide them away from it, so that when they make their pitch they make it a good one.
Instead I see a lot of ill-informed, newbie MDers comming out, shooting their load and getting laughed out of town. Obviously lack of research is a primary cause of this, which is a very bad sign for an IPO proposer and worthy of strong criticism. Still, I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea to make it easier for these people and, by so doing, stimulate the secondary market?

The most important factor in deciding whether or not to invest is the report of an auditor. Unfortunately newbies tend to disregard entirely the official IPO template or even worst, scammers make full use of it in an effort to gain more credibility while cautiously avoiding the API key check.
No newbie should be given access to funds without an API key check. In fact if newbies believe at some point in the future they'll ask for investment they'd better submit their API key for random checks in advance.
Speaking of which I would like to see Agent Darko's transactions log. |

I take it that some of the MD members are more inclined to picture someone as being less intelligent then themselves rather then accepting the fact that the said person intends to scam.
