hi - i live in a system that borders with a few .3 and .4's and i've found a few choice belts with gneiss in, and was thinking of trying some ninja mining. i was thinking of using my Myrmidon but thought i'd ask here if anyone had any better suggestions?
i can fly most T1 and a lot of T2 gallente ships, and all races frigates - suggestions please :)

sorry, should have been more clear - anyone got any suggestions for a SHIP, not just for a stunningly obvious piece of equipment to put on any ship going into low or null-sec?

The procurer and skiff are both supposed to be a bit better for ninja mining after the patch. ------------ Improvize. Adapt. Overcome.

Well, the agility bonus will be nice as well, get you out of the belt quicker once someone enters local. ------------ Improvize. Adapt. Overcome.

Skiff works great for Ninja Mining. Go to your system in a shuttle first and scout a few locations for you to mine. When you find one, fly as far away from the warp-in point as possible while still in mining range. Bookmark and repeat for whatever you belts you want to mine.
Grab your Skiff, fit it with a Medium Shield Extender II (it has the PG for it) so you have a buffer tank both for rats and if you need to warp out.
The low slots can be fitted with Mining Upgrades, Cargo Expanders or Inertia Stabs. With +2 Warp Strength built into the Skiff, 8-10 align time and 30km+ out from the warpin point, you'll be tough to nail down in a belt. Gates are a different matter though. ------------------------ Ship Yield Calc Improve Mining |
