Hi CCP
I do like the module timer, its hypnotic, but can be distracting when you have loads of modules activating at different intervals.
Could the module timer be an option per module to switch on/off? That would be imho a good change.

I ran 3 clients simultaneously on my laptop (classic build), and after an hour, my cpu temp was averaging between 49' to 55'
Pre patch, it got as high as 75' to 80'
Is the new code giving my cpu a break now? If so, thanks guys! ------------------------------------------

Some possible errors/quirks found in the new certificate system:
1) Spelling? Leadership\*\Harvesting Comptroller. Shouldn't that be 'Controller'? Seems to carry consistently through the whole subtree and descriptions.
2) There seems to be a discrepancy in the requirements of Starter Professions\Basic\Amarr Industry - Prospector compared to the other three races' equivalent: Amarr requires Industry to be at level 4, the three other races only at level 3.

I like a lot of the little tweaks that have been added, (with some reservations) like the new music, definite plus. Grouping makes attacking much faster. Cycle timer though, useful, but not always accurate, (and does it have to be mandatory?). The new gates are different, but I really don't see an improvement, just different. Problems....my EVE shortcuts don't work anymore; had to go into the game directory and make a new one. NPC locks are fine, but when I lock onto a player's ship, I get two displays of interactions (Keep at range, orbit, etc...) right on top of each other. There are some hang-ups in moving items while docked, and some strange lag-spikes in space at random moments, along with momentary graphic freezes. I'm not the only one getting these, but it's just that different players are getting different problems. (One of my corpies had all ships and stations vanish, in the middle of a pirate hunt, except for their icons.) Relogging solved it. Some patching of the patch is needed, but overall, I'd say things haven't gone as nearly as horribly as they have in the past. (Remember the Boot.ini incident?)

Medals: Should be able to be awarded to non-corp people. Should be able to be purchasable in bulk for larger corps (as in 1-10 medals cost 5m each but each one after that costs 2.5m and the price gets down again at 25 the price drops to 1.5 and so on, for example).
I think the certificates are useless as many of the optimal trees are not represented (such as not training large gun specialization but training all the support skills instead). I'd be a lot happier if the things were just per-skill instead of all kinds of stupid combinations hardly anyone uses. In addition the certificates do not reflect any accomplishment because there is no way to gain skill points ingame. ---

Weapon grouping - nice. Multiple weapon groups - less elegant than I would have liked (and would have mentioned prior to release if they had been working properly on Sisi at the time). I'd prefer automatically bunching up the groups as though a pair of weapons rather than having this random orphaned second group way off to the right on the module list. Just makes it more awkward and look less polished. I could drag the group to where I want it, but I have no idea what that will do for later ungrouped modules... Still a great feature.
Certificates - very handy, both for new players and old to be able to show what you can do. I foresee two issues with the current permissions system - you can't show to corp/alliance only, and you can't make public to an individual only (say a recruiter). There are also some certificates that seem to be missing - for example I can get Armour Tanking Standard with armour compensation skills to level 3. However there isn't any corresponding Improved version for skills to level 4, it skips it and goes straight to level 5. Seems a bit odd. ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... Environmental Effects

I like the idea of weapon grouping.
Slower battleships is pretty lame for PVE. Guess I'll start flying smaller ships. It takes too long to do a mission now even if I don't salvage. Missiles and Drones changed is also not good for PVE. I don't have the skills yet to PVP very well but if it's not broke don't fix it. At least it wasn't broke for me.
Did someone say NPC battleships didn't get a speed nerf too? BOOO!!
The rest sounds irrelevant to me but I can't confirm this because I can't undock for some reason.

Not so impressed so far CCP, the module timer ring is annoying and pointless, more cluter where its not needed and the option to move the control circle, hmmmm
Ocra nice looking, but wow such a expensive hauler huh?
And never known you guys to resort to labeling hardware changes as a patch feature lol,
Nano nerf don't bother me, never was a fan of nano-***g0ts
But the gates are nice

Is there any way to delete an award that has been created? Not from the character but from the award creation section. ------------------- To bring equality to the world, if your character is female then you will now have a female corpse when podkilled.. What will CCP think of next? |

The module timer is very helpful when overloading, but please, make it possible to turn off or even better - make it appear only when overloading. Thanks.

Only if the person has the option of refusing the medal. Otherwise, it will get abused hugely - "Biggest Bast*** In EVE", "Ar*ehole, First Class" etc etc.

Now...how is this fair. The first change..is almost understandable given how things are being changed to be slower(which in Eve is frankly amazing). However the second change...who's idea was this? Seriously? Why should it override? This is a huge blow to those of us (and I'm happy to assume that there aren't many) who fly skirm link-Claymores. Why not change the link to increase speed like the skirm war skill used to. Wouldn't that be more balanced than effectivly nullifying the usefulness of an entire skill? Or module even depending on how you want your ship setup. But override? It's plainly just not fair as the other war link trees don't have this kick in the gonads. They get all the skill bonuses + warlink bonuses, while skirm linkers don't.

For those who have commented on not seeing the new stargates, not all of them have been replaced. The new stargates are referred to as 'border stargates' in that they sit on the borders of each of the faction space.
For example you're not likely to spot a Gallente border stargate in the middle of their space.

You still haven't addressed the glaring flaws of T2 ammo... it still sucks compared to T1 standard, much less faction. The rage cap-regen nerf change is useful, making ships fitting them even more vulnerable than they were when cap dead. Now, what about Hail and cap regen?
Reduce the nerfs, no need to change the ammo itself.

with eager anticipation I love the new gfx on gates, and quite a few fixes, but alass as a inty piolet the speed nerf has ruined my eve playing. almost halfed the speed of my crow an just getting over 5000m/s is making Obi a sad puppy. anyone wanna buy a 800 mill faction crow.. am gonna give the game a week or 2 to see if anything is done about the extream drop on speed. I'm as well as flying tackling brick now in all honesty. tacking the whole aspect of fast tacklers/interceptors and nerfing the speed by 50% really is harsh.. everyone complained about nano's.. so what.. there is means and ways around this you have to adapt and fight fire with fire. now in my opinion flying intys is no longer an option in eve, I hope it's resolved as I love this game, but now that love is fading fast. respect for the hard work tho as always.

- Currently you have the option to keep them to yourself or show them off to the world. Wouldn't it be a good idea to make a third option to show to corp members? And perhaps even a fourth option to only show to corp members with recruitment access?
- Is it possible to make certificates work with recruitment ads so you can set a minimum and/or maximum prerequisite and people who don't have the proper certs don't need to apply/get auto-filtered out or flagged as not suited for the job?

Very good idea here.
CCP listen to this guy implement these two points and certificates will be useful and not just something to brag about.
Also didn't you consider that no one will show their certificates because they fear that an enemy will see them and gather info about their strengths and weaknesses ? |

certificates --- weird combinations on some cert's leading to misinformation weapons systems overall --- huge performing difference ... laser > ac > blaster > missiles bs' speed overall no black ops fix no gal recon fix
amarr ships with more slots overall than there racial pedants within the same ship tier
so far ...

I have not now or ever modified the splash, so your new "FEATURE" to check that the splash hasn't been changed obviously has a bug.
Do I have to re-install (i.e. download yet again) the entire client, which I did after last patch too? Getting bit f***ing bored of having to re-download the client after every patch.

Target painters hardly aid in getting higher dammage Missles are useless against small ships ... feels like shooting a car with a nuke only to see the car come out without a scratch as it has a small sig radius.
A nuke on a car destroys the car, a cruise missle (or a volley) against an inty should kill it too (like it used to be). Max missle skills and 3 targetpainters on an inty gives you around 30 dmg. Way to go ccp! It's bad enough you had to nerf a ****load but this way, BS's can get owned by inties in no time.
Oh yes, rapiers are useless now. Inties still go way to fast and your web nerf really made them absolete
Can we get that annoying cycle time thing gone, it is really distracting whilist pvp'ing
