So it's up to us: - to brag and be exposed or to remain mysteriously silent 'bout own skills.

It's too bad you can't artificially lower your stats on the certificates. Then (dumb) people might think you're noobier than you are and be careless.

there should be additional options to the simple private/public for certs.
Like 'make private with the exception of your corp or allience" stuff

Yep Spread lies...just publish all the mining ones you get and no others then some loser pirate will think your just some miner. He'll have a nasty surprise when that mega doesn't have mining lasers on it...

Yes, because we would not want to take five minutes to type someone's name into BattleClinic and see exactly what they can and can't fit anyways.

Well considering you can choose what you want to be publicly seen as opposed to being asked to give your API so someone can see it all I think this is a better alternative. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

I kinda feel that some of the cert's requirements for the high levels are not realistic. I am able to fly a Hulk at level 4, use all empire class ore's t2 mining crystals and t2 MLU's, yet im only one step up from basic so something isnt quite right here. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

Unless you pressed "Claim all", you could have left the advanced ones unclaimed, in order to mislead.

They have to have set them public. If so, they show up under the decorations tab.

From what i noticed the certificates have some absurd skill training suggestions. I would suggest to the new players to ignore the certificates apart maybe the basics and plan their progress the old way. |

2nd that. The basic and standard certs are fairly sensible but some of the requirements for the higher levels are not very well thought out.
This toon has >6m in drones and no drone certs higher than standard. Given the requirements for improved, it will probably stay that way.

If you have standards in almost everything combat - the enemy cant figure much about you.
If you think corp is different than a guild or clan you have some insecurity issues.
