I was pretty negative about the patch myself. Was thinking of quiting to. But now flying with the right ship & the right teammates I am killing more then before.
Just chance tactics & you will do fine
ah, btw, specialization helps |

Well Zakear,
If every time a player threatned to stop playing eve every time they had something to whine about I donĘt think they would be able to spend much time working so hard making the game much better as they would be closing accounts left right and centre.
Re-Balancing will always happen and will never stop so they should stop throwing their toys out the pram and deal with it like everyone else.
Besides, if the corp does go to the dumps you and your friends are always welcome to join my corp!
Regards,
Ren

The policy of all MMO developers is to never apologize and never roll back. If they didn't stop the steam-rolling for the 50-page blasters-are-dead petitions, they sure aren't going to do it for anyone else. |

I was on the way to quit, but then I discover that I have 5 more months alrdy paid (12 months subscription, my fault ). There was a time where I didn't even take in account the possibility to give up EVE, or my precious accounts.
Atm I'm spending my time using TeamSpeak to keep in touch with my mates, than EVE itself.

nanonerf was needed, but not that much. web nerf was needed, but in other way. warp scrambler boost wasn't needed.
missiles were overnerfed also, big time.
Basically they just "over-did" everything, as a result nothing works like before.

Hello Laechyd, yes I agree, they could have let the warp scrambling alone, we could cope and we all knew how it worked.
As for the missiles, I agree they overdid it in that respect, yet I am going to provide a more balanced view on missiles and what it wrong with it.
And I will add a few points and explanation here since some guys who post on the forum don't have a clue on what the problem is with the changes to missiles.
It should be easy to understand since Caldari weaponry is not that different from the other classes after all.
Small weapons frigate, interceptor etc: Rocket launcher for shortrange, standard launcher for somewhat larger range or very agile tarhets. No objection here after the changes, works ok.
Large weapons: Battleships Torpedoes is our counterpart to Gallente Blasters, but contrary to the way Gallente use theirs, our torpedoes have always been limited to other battleships. Cruise missiles have been the choice when we have had a mix of adversaries and also for ranged battle. They dont work well after the nerf, in short our counterpart to large weapons have been seriously weakened, and we have nothing to counter a long range fitted Amarr or Minmatar player in Pvp.
The serious problem is in the middle bracket, there have never been a situation where any faction in Eve have had the medium class weapon rendered completely useless.
Minmatar can use their AC's for the role of closeup battle against frigates and cruisers, they got tracking for that. Same go for Amarr who use pulselasers, and almost superfluous to mention the blasters Gallente players use with great success. (As for mission running I could add that there even are examples of Gallente players that even do their missions semi-AFK by simply release their drones. We Caldari do however not have any of these options, see below.)
Medium class weapons, used on Cruisers and Battlecruisers: Assault launcher: Unguided missile, worthless against frigates or cruisers at any range and always been so.
So for this class of ship we have mostly had a single choice. Large missile launcher, it was used as both weapon classes for us. To compare with Minmatar again, our Large missile launcher were both as the AC and the artillery weapon for our cruisers.
Our only choice of medium class weapon been rendered useless against both frigates and cruisers. And that regardless if we talk about missions or pvp.
