Just wondering if anyone can offer a suggestion or 2 on improving this setup for NPC hunting only.
High slots: 4 Medium energy guns with Multi and radio crystals 3 Tachyons with Radio, Multi's and another crystal with medium range 1 Large SB
Mid Slots: Tracking computer II Sensor booster II 2 Cap recharger II's
Low slots: Tracking enhancer II Heat sink II 1 Large armor repairer 1 Medium armor repairer II 2 Armor hardners (Depending on where and what you are fighting) 1 Cap power relay
6 Ogres for emergency use only.
I have 4 million skill points in gunnery alone. Total SP's is over 10 mil with no industrial or research skills at all. Mainly electronics navigation and engineering. I also have level 4 Amarr BS skill. I think I can probably use any Mod in the game if it can improve this setup. Your Tachyon Beam Laser II perfectly strikes Guristas Demolisher, wrecking for 1076.8 damage. [ |

I currently run 1 Tach, 5 megapulses and 2 Seige Launchers in my highslots...4 cap recharger 2's in my midslots..and 2 Large named armor repairers, 2 Heatsink 2's, and 3 cap relays in my low slots...I can run everythign and fire all my guns without any major cap problms at all...And it can tank almost any spawn I have ran into in 0.0..Including 3 BS spawns with tech 2 frigs..

hi: 4 megabeams, 2 tachyons (or all 6 megabeams) 2 siege launchers (pack cruise for frigates and some torps for bs's)
mid: 1 mwd, 1 tech2 charger, 1 em ward, 1 XL-C5l low: 4 cap relays, 1 tech2 cpu, 2 pdu's
with the above I can happily solo multiple bs's spawns, shield still gives 350 boost plus I have a 194 cap recharge, i rarely get near to running out of cap. works for me

Hm. Might think about trying that. Currently have 2 Tach, 5 named Megapulse, 1 named Heavy launcher. 4 cap rechargers (2 II, 2 named). 2 named Large repairers, Exp and Kin hardeners, Heatsink II and 2 relays. Trade-off between extra cap, extra hardener or extra damage is an interesting one!
When some more megapulses arrive (out where I am), may try switching to just megapulse/missile combo. Megapulses now work very nicely for npcs... :-)

High 6xtachyon with UV crystals (with decent skills these can run constant with sustainable cap and still do decent damage), 2xmedium beam or pulse (good for frigs and cruisers up close)
Mid 4x cap recharger 2's
Low 2x Accomodation Large armour repair, 2-3 hardners (depending on rats), 1 RCU, 1 cap relay, Tech 2 damage or traking mod or another cap relay in the last slot if u only use 2x hardners.

I'd add one webbie in meds to make sure you can actually hit the MWDing cruisers/frigs with medium guns :) ------------------------------------------ I am a love machine, feeding my fantasy, give me a kiss or three, have fun!

Why waste one or even two slots for smartbombs if you can fit launchers instead?
Unlike smartbombs those can be used not only against npc-frigs but BS/cruisers as well.

1 repairer 1 or 2 hardener 2 WCS 3 Heat Sinks
Microwave, Xray, Multi L - 6 of each Get all tech 2 or the best named guns/mods and you'll do some great damage to NPCs on up to 120km with Microwave crystals.
For big commander spawns you might need a little more tanking equipment.
