Greetings, Pilots. My primary language is English, however, i've been learning Mandarin Chinese for some time now. i joined the Chinese channel in game but i dont know how to type in characters and was forced to copy and paste from google translate to chat with the others there. there must be an easier way to type in Mandarin; could someone please tell me how? thanks. :D |

I seem to recall Windows has language settings.
Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region -> Change keyboards or other input methods
The default is Left Alt + Shift to switch between keyboards.
Never tried it. Just got annoyed with U.S. English spelling correction. |

Well depends which OS you're on.
On Mac, it's pretty simple: just go to System Prefs and the International section. On PC, there is the built in one, but you can also download some off the internet. One includes: http://www.njstar.com/cms/ On Linux, there should also be an option in your preferences, but I haven't tried every Linux flavor, so yeah.

Do you have a Chinese keyboard? Same as a qwerty but each letter also does part of a character (which is drawn on the button) when windows is set in that mode. Going to be a nightmare doing it on a western keyboard. Also you can use a tablet where you can draw the symbols and a software converter.
