What needs to happen is webs need to be buffed to 75-80% for a best named/T2 web. Even at 80% strength, that's still a 100% increase in webbed speed for a single web for pre-QR web levels. Reducing it to 60% was just insane.
Not really sure just yet, I haven't been out roaming much since the patch hit; I think the biggest issue is trying to allow some method of pilots to speedtank sensibly without being too easily gutted via webbing _____________________

How to not get gutted by webs: stay out of range. There is nothing wrong with the concept of 'just not getting webbed'. I'd like to see the base web strength buffed, and a heavier stacking penalty imposed, instead of the other way around. At this point, even a 70% web would be a huge improvement over what we have now.

it would give me the option to web them back and enough time for the rest of the gang to warp in, lock, and pop the.
in gate warfare we at least have the option to send an inty to the other side the gate to catch them as they come out. with stations you have an "invulnerability" button, as long as you have enough armor hp --

There is a rather simple rule to go by in deciding whether a feature should change/be added.
If whines due to change > whines due to no change Then no change
By my estimates you must exceed 20 pages in one day with this thread to flip the above rule.

How about...NOT camping stations!
Seriously, it's boring for both sides. Go roam around a few systems, catch a few inattentive kills and then go back, see if anyone's undocked yet. If they did so, perhaps they'll be in combat vessels that provide a bit more challenge than trying to lock them down so they can't escape. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- PROPOSAL: Good Bug Reporting Incentives MMORPG: Many Men Online Role Playing Girls |

we're trying to get rid of station campers. it's currently near impossible. one station has an 8km dock zone, making bumps near impossible. --

if that station got 6km docking range, the station huggers also shouldnt be able to kill something.
I can understand whirates want something to make it harder for people jumping back, but a better web is not the option imo, being able to fly a bit arround during a close range fight instead of having a max speed of 1m/s is nice imo. How about just a longer timer before you can jump back? Allthough then i can see the issue that you also need to wait at other gates. And i suppose whirates also dont like it if people get further from a gate when jumping through. ---------------------------------------------

Wouldn't the solution to this be joining the big boys in an area of space where you can actually control said stations and thusly prevent docking?
Its almost like this is an advantage given to those who put in the hardwork to sort out he logistics and defenses of a player owned outpost?
Or is that just crazy talk?

Here's my patented and purely genious solution to station docking games: Don't sit outside stations expecting to get a kill from people that undock.
Oh wait... I'm meant to blame the people that keep docking instead of the nubs that sit outside the station. Sorry, my bad. I will conform, honest.

It'd be nice if *something* were done about it. Like a re-dock timer based on ship size...

This is a classic case of "be careful what you wish for" because no one ever would undock in a hostile situation, making it even more boring.

The whole undocking mechanic could use a change. The full velocity random deviation was a dumb idea anyway and just upped the standard for what you need to tank to play undock games.
We need windows in stations for starters (damnit).
I'd like it if they just worked like gates, and plopped you out at a random location about 10km from the station (probably cloaked and invuln to give client time to load the grid). Moving = drops invuln timer just like now.
Maybe kind of immersion breaking but undock games would be very risky in any ship that could tank significantly (slow), but smaller faster ships would have a better chance to get away because of the large diameter of a station so it might discourage station camping. And it would still prevent congestion since everyone is not coming out at the same spot.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

the people complaining that people wouldn't undock didn't actually read the thread: them not undocking is exactly what op wants
it's about space control. adjust your trolling accordingly
