Because that would be lame and overpowered.... This is a STEALTH BOMBER, which implies it can approach it's target and deploy it's weapons without ending up dead almost every time it decloaks..
It can't warp cloaked so there's no stealth approach involved unless it's been afk in the system for a while and there's no stealth attack either as for it to do any damage it needs to stay visible for the entire time it takes the missiles to hit or stay within locking range of almost every small tackling ship in the game that hasn't got 3 warp stabs on it.
I'm not saying make them overpowered, just make them live up to their name..
The one flaw with that is that in the real world Stealth Bombers are only stealthy until they reach their target. A radar operators screen lights up like Las Vegas the second a B-2 releases it's ordnance,

It's not un-lockable. You get close and decloak it. However fast it is, an inty will be faster. You see one, you head towards and you keep homing in until you're close enough. Possibly give inties a bonus to cloak breaking distance. The warp prohibition time I mentioned would give them the time to do this.

Indeed, although give it a charge up time to account for the missile flight time that guns don't normally have.

Heavy destroyer skill bonus : +5% increased flight time for bombs per level + 2% DMG per level
enough cap+pwg tofit speed tank and range+ targeting speed mods
nerf all of the above abit and that could be interesting |

Cos its so easy to get close to decloak a ship 50km+ away that can move very fast cloaked and easily reposition itself after the few seconds of being seen.
Your idea is stupid and way overpowered.
POST NERF PVP SKILLS: "shall we engage?" "hmmm how many ships do they have?" "more than us" "lets not bother then" "WOW great job FC!!!!" "................. |
