what im suggesting is that aswell as items which usually drop sometimes an npc will drop his wallet.
this wallet would contain an unspecified ammount of money based on difficulty of target. it would drop like a normal item but once you get bk to station you get the option to open it and see what he has.
to add to this they could hold the same status as tags ie ilegal in some areas. opening a wallet in his races station is classed as stealing and you would be attacked on leaving the station.usual countdowns apply. due to the unknown ammount of money in the wallet its a gamble.
also maybe it could contain reciepts for items at stations in eve. all you gotta do is dock at that station to pickup the item.would have a time limit on this.

Edited by: Daevonar on 26/11/2008 14:10:04 You do know the wallet tab isn't actually a physical wallet right?
It's just a link to your electronic account, I doubt there is even such a thing as an isk note or coin.
As for receipts I expect it is much more than just someone giving you a paper or electronic receipt for items you've bought, the transaction is all logged electronically (it has to be, otherwise you couldn't buy stuff in other stations) and any sensible seller would check the id of the person collecting the items or they would quickly find themselves in hot water.
Additionally, there is no way I'd want to go to collect items from any station that is known to regularly supply pirates... sounds very unsafe to me.
Perhaps this could be done with some kind of electronic espionage skill set, however it would require the ship to actually still be in one piece because as soon as you destroy the computer you will effectively erase the data that gives you access to their account.
TBH, I would imagine that in a world where FTL space travel , and instantaneous, inter-solar communication is possible, acces to a persons account would be so locked down and secure you would stand no chance of accessing it. Dae.

Yeah, because wallets are definitely physical items, that's why you keep it after clone jumping and getting podded.

i keep my isk in a magical bag of holding. when someone attacks me, i put my entire ship inside the bag along with my isk till they go away.
isk, not a physical item.
if you go kill someone, then walk into a bank and say "hey, i just killed fred smirks, please transfer all his money into my bank account" they are going to call the police.
the serpentis corp wont give you that poor pilots money just cuz you shot him down, and it would be better for your hull not to go into serpentis space and ask nicely.
onto less RP and more practical matters, lvl 4 mission running is already ******edly profitable. you may not have more until miners can match your average isk draw per hour, instead of being like half it. - PvPers always say "GB2WoW". the message is that EVE is hard, and people just need to deal with it. wasn't it funny how when nano's started making it hard for *them*, that all went out the window? |

we are capsulears. sealed in an egg. npcs are not therefore while sealed in our egs we dont carry any of our possesions.they would get icky. im sure i read somewhere pods are full of liquid but i may be wrong.
as i said npcs are not and are therefore more likely to carry there possesions on themselfs. also some npcs are pirates so it would be feasable that they would carry there money on them to reduce the chance of the police finding out about there pirating activitys.

i am, irl, not a pod pilot. i have a large amount of money to my name, i will not specify how much. believe it or not, i dont carry it around with me in a big ol' sack, because its HEAVY that way. thats today. add 38,000 years of commerce technology development to that, and the possibility of sacks of gold is nonexistant. - PvPers always say "GB2WoW". the message is that EVE is hard, and people just need to deal with it. wasn't it funny how when nano's started making it hard for *them*, that all went out the window? |
