The usage of ECM is really a good indicator of PVP skill.
1 falcon, 2 falcons or 2 rooks in a 10 man gang. Seriously?
In before "it's for engaging those stupid 2x to 5x numbers. Also in before my fleet couldn't break a single Scimitar RR. |

2 rooks contribute 400 or so nice ranged and selectable dps to the gang each, might scare people off, a bit but I don't see a problem in their usage - falcon obviously is just ecm in this context but rook is a decent gang ship |

Rook/Falcon will put your fleet into one of two categories: The first one being ganking ships or little gangs, the second one being blobbed to **** and not fighting at all.
If you want to do really really enjoyable and somewhat skillful small gang PVP, yeah, use ECM ships. Make sure to also laugh at those 5 people you killed for being ****.
Oh and that also said, I don't mind them being used when actually fighting outnumbered by two times your own fleet or more. |

This is true. That gang setup has 3 "dedicated" DPS boats - 2 Cynabals and a Vagabond. That's it, although the other ships do provide some DPS. Issue is that (most) 10 man gangs won't engage and those that will fight, will bring enough that
A) You won't be able to jam everything that can hit you, e.g. Drakes B) Rooks have crap tank, even with Logis repping them so they'll be forced off the field fairly quickly C) Your low DPS for that gang size will take an age to kill anything and will have very little chance of breaking through even a pair of Scimitars or such.
TBH I find ECM just plain ruins fights, even if it's on your side. And when it won't ruin fights (heavily outnumbered typically), it has too little an effect. |

You're forgetting one thing... with a Curse eliminating the target's cap, most tanks will be shut off. A drake without his Invulns/DCU online is going to die rather quickly. |

Skirmish link loki 2x Scimitar 1x Arazu 1x Huginn 5x Nano-Machariel if we're being wishful, or 5x Nanodrakes if we're being more realistic, though if drakes I'd probably go -1 Scimi +1 drake (for total of 6 drakes) |
