How I got this by creating Achura and maxing most of my learning as goes... - Analytical Mind V - Clarity V - Eidect Memory V - Empathy IV - Focus IV - Instant Recall V - Iron Will V - Learning V - Logic IV - Presence II - Spactial Awareness V
this amounts to a total of 3,187,475 skill points with a +4 set I get CHR-14 - INT 25 - PRC 26 - MEM 23 - WILL 23.
Hope this helps you new guys

Edited by: Estel Arador on 12/12/2008 11:20:29 Can you use InEve to show us your SP total with your API key?
Getting 20M SP in less than a year after creation sounds a bit incredible to me.
Edit to support that statement: a full year of training with your current attributes would net you 19.7M SP for your best attribute combination (Per/Wil). Add in the 800k starter SP and you'd be at 20.5M after full year. However, that's ignoring the fact that you had to train your learning/cybernetic skills first and that you have SP in skills which are not of your best attribute combination. In short it is impossible for you to have 20M SP in less than a year after creation.

that's where your wrong, a character that's purely perception/willpower meaning just getting perc/will learning skills to V and +4s is very very possible to get 20mil+ a year with something like pure gunnery skills or missiles.

Ehm I posted calculations using your attributes showing you could get 19.7M SP in a full year of training Per/Wil skills. That's not "20M SP in less than a year". Furthermore, since this is directed a new players, I assumed you were talking about your first year in which case you spent at least a couple of months training non Per/Wil skills (learning and cybernetics).
I don't see the point of lying to new players about what's possible. Why not say "19M SP in less than a year"? It isn't any less impressive for a new player.

Well, technically, he should have 26.4 Per and 23.1 Wil, so that's 2277 SP/hour, or 19,946,520 SP/year on just Per/Wil skills, plus his initial 800k, assuming he started as engineer and plugged in +3s from the start after getting Cybernetics 1 trained as the first thing... still not quite there. ROUGHLY 20 mil SP in ROUGHLY one year, it's possible.
Slightly under 20 mil in one year, yes. 20 mil in slightly over one year, yes. Over 20 mil in under one year, nope, not without some weirdness.

you will make just on 20m sp a year if you dont do char based skills and you will get 20,971,440 a year..
thats a achura character with 9/9/9/9/3 starting and maxed learning, and +5 implants.

Except, that is where you are wrong. As at today, you have 20.7m SP. Your character is 13 months old. Considering that you earn ~2300 per hour now, one month is ~1.7m you earned in the 13th month.
20.7 - 1.7 means you earned ~19m in the first year. Which is consistent with the above posts, and my current timeline at 11 months.

I trained all Learning skills to IV's and V's my first month. However looking back even tho it will save me time. It was boring. I have a new outlook on this game. GET WHAT I WANT to have fun. The more you try to get involved in getting what ppl say you should get, the more the game losses interest.

People seem so obsessed with SP/hour SP/month SP/year...
Learn what you want to learn, forget numbers, enjoy the game. Who cares if you are 30m SP and not 80m SP? Maybe that just means you havn't done level 5's on 20 of the skills the other person has. So what. Whoopdedo.

Its not about learning the game, anyone can "learn eve" and if they can optimize the maximum sp they can get in a short amount of time that means they can do more things in short learning more.

indeed true, but if the cost of learning faster is to have a char as ugly as achura males i think ill prefer to stick to my slower training

So it's entirely possible.

I obtained 57 mil sp in first year of playing the game. How did I do it? Simple. First figure out how to make dozens of billions of ISK. Then go to character sales forum, bid on a high skill point character of your liking, send ISK, receive your char.
And yes, this is the shortest training path to maximizing your capabilities in game.

You will not get this much in your first year of training because it will take you time to get to those 26/26/26/26 stats. All the meanwhile you will not be training at 39 sp/minute but a slower rate, which should put you a bit below 20 during the first year training. Subsequent years however you can gain full 20 mil, granted you miss no skill training eva.

By doing something similiar to what Dr. Caymus is doing, 20 mil should be possible. Basically just max Int/Memory(some 60 days into things you would have something like 33 Intelligence and 25.3 memory, but that's probably suboptimal aswell). Which in turn amounts to 45.65 SP/Min. 525 948.766 Minutes in a year, amounts to a total of 24mil SP.
Now that's not very accurate since aforementioned learnings take some 60 days, but assuming you'll average about half the speed during those two months - in average that means a month of lost training. Totalling 22 mil SP - in a full year. Parrots, commence!

IF i was not dying of bordem at 5/4's and the fact i had cybernetics V before then .. should i have plugged in +5's i am sure i would have come close to 20m on the 1st year. might have been 300k sp off.

I did pretty much what Kyra Felann and NoNah have said.
The first skill I purchased was cybernetics and trained it to level 1 so I could put +3 implants in. Science level 3 was allready given at creation.
As soon as I had plugged in a set of +3's I trained the Intelligence and memory basics to 5 since CCP hadn't made it easier at that point to learn the advanced and then trained the advanced skills to level 4.
I then trained cybernetics to level 5 and stuck 4 improved +5 and 1 standard +4 implants in and then maxed the advanced learning skills except for the charisma. At this point I hadn't even trained the basic Charisma learning skill either as the primary use of this character was to be science and industry based.
This took just over 2 months to do and gave me Intelligence of 27 (could be 28 with a +5), Perception of 25, Willpower of 25 and Memory of 25. I have now got a +4 Charisma implant in and have maxed the skills for that giving me 18 for that attribute in the last year so I could then work on social/trade skills etc.
Due to alot of the skills not being intelligence and memory based in the last year and not having trained for a little over a month to create some cyno alts I obviously haven't trained at the same speed as I did 2 months into creation. I now have nearly 45 million points and made this character 2006.08.23.

This char was born the day Achura came to EVE (2006-03-03) and has now reached 54.5M SP. That is as a pure PVP char with +4 set and only one adv learning skill trained to lvl 5 (perception).
Another Achura of mine born 2007-03-15 and specialised in science has just passed 40M SP and is currently learning skills at a rate just shy of 24M SP/year (2739SP/h).

Very nice indeed and gives more proof that 20 mil in the first year and over is very possible.
Sometimes I sort of wish I'd just trained skills that use my primary attribute and not trained any other alts for cynos etc to see what I could have got.
I'm currently training a ship skill and only making 2277p/h and it does seem quite slow in comparison to science and industry skills.

mate i do 2244 an hour my self that gives me a one year bday sp of 19.5m sp. IF i plugged in +5's and trained to 5/5 learnings i would have easily cleared 20.0m sp ... infact if i leave my chr as she is.. i will make 19.657.440 without doing any charisma based skills which i HAVE to do for commandships :)
ahh the benifits of 24/24/24/24/15 ( all +4's )

You can't do 2244SP/h with those attributes, 2178SP/h is the best you can do as I have 24/24/24/24/24 myself.
