I need to replace my ageing C2D T9300 / 4Gb RAM / GF 9500M GS laptop.
Ideally the replacement needs to have the following specs (or as close to): Core i7 8Gb Ram Radeon 5850 (GDDR5 not DDR3) or GF GT555M or similar 1TB HDD 1080p screen
Before you all jump on me crying "zomg there's no such thing as a gaming laptop, get a desktop or GTFO"; I travel a lot, I use my laptop around 12-14 hours a day, I don't have room for a desktop, I haven't had a desktop for over 4 years, I don't want a desktop.
Looking to spend a grand (-ú1000) give or take a couple of hundred.
So far, I have shortlisted these: Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G Acer Aspire 5750G MSI GX660R
I'm swaying towards the MSI one as it has the 5870 GDDR5 which is faster by far than the others. The only
Obviously in an ideal world I would like the next gen Sandybridge CPU, but not at the expense of having a lower spec GPU.
Can anyone find anything better?
Thanks in advance |

Bearing in mind I live in England and any computers or computer components shipped in from the US will be subject to criminally insane customs taxes, ordering from outside the UK is out of the question. |

A question. Am looking around for laptops, but are there laptops that can do 3G and/or 4G service?
BTW are you looking for something pretty portable, versatile, or a powerful/gaming laptop? |

AT&T might have one too.
