The root of it all aside, here's a bit of further insight into the delightful nature of TEST members

Oh, how their demeanour differs from forums to Reddit
Onto greener pastures \o |

I don't know exactly how the whole picture looks in that thread to an outsider. I'll say this, though, I come off defensive in there because I had a bunch of EVE's finest (/s) jump on me all at once and this was after a multipager berating in all sorts of colourful and creative language on the TEST forums. For a grounding, I suggest you start with the quotes and their mastery of language
PS- After all this, it's so refreshing to read a sensible reply, haha. |

Lol, I wasn't asking about anything for me. I wasn't mining or ratting there. I was as neutral as possible in the forums. They were losing their **** left, right and centre. I hear you're believing things you know very well are likely rumourmill.
Essentially it was about alliance priorities. As others had discussed on occasion in alliance, we thought there was more to everyday business than the frontlines. Sure, they were the top priority but there was other crap to be done. There was an absolute disregard for anything going on anywhere else. The specific example I made was of the Fountain area which regularly cops a decimating from various gangs and fleets nearby. Like clockwork, 6VDT (home in Fountain) is camped at the same times every day - with only occasional opposition and variable efforts to repel them. Enemies roams freely. It ain't safe - the place is running far from potential. Like they were ready to pop before I walked through the door, the thread hit the fan and the TESTies lost their ****. In the rush they forgot all semblence of vocabulary and meaning, largely spouting only vulgarities, attempting to outdo one another as the bandwagon rode along. Ah, etcetc, I'm just reiterating. Thread, like it or leave it. Thought it was worth a read for a few people here.
It completely transgressed all the initial issues and for me, became much more of an issue about the character of the people and the culture of TEST and Co. |

Congratulations, you can recognize terrible posts.
If you post anything unfavourable about TEST or Goons on Reddit, you're downvoted to oblivion. It is the home of Dreddit, after all.

Alua Oresson wrote:Read this OP and chuckled at how OP doesn't understand how deployments actually work in 0.0.
FYI: You always get reds camping your home system when you deploy. As long as they don't screw up something important you ignore them until you get back. (Camping a station isn't screwing up something important.)
TLDR: OP is ignorant of 0.0.
You're missing the point as much as they did or at least the ones who bothered to read and didn't just want to rage.
They could call the sky light blue and I, a shade darker - it's beside the point. This is about their attitude and their culture.
PS- Every time you guys reply, more of the public sees the kind of people you really are. |
