Go to your local store and buy a large cardboard box. bash its corners in until its roughly oval. Then sit in the box and close the lid. Should make do as a makshift pod.
When you need to go out put on a pair of glasses that you have carfully written "Warp drive active".
I find laserpointers make a great subsitute mining laser when you cant get to the PC. You can even glue 2 together to get that "Dual heavy beam" feeling.
And if you're missing the forums for any reason just go to any mmorpg forum you can, its all full of the same carebear/griefer arguments regardless of the game. :)

Ya know, someone should try to make some paper-cutout ships. I did this with one of the Homeworld ships IIRC, but I lost all my plans and stuff.

i think they should warn you at the very beginning of this game that it is highly addictive and that those who do not play for awhile may suffer the same problems as those who are trying to quite smoking - but with less internal health problems. *takes trip to see phsychiatrist before she begins to think that her next door neighbor is caldari*

ironically- on the original box for the game there IS a big warning label saying this game is "highly addictive" and could take over your life. if you bought your account online i guessed you would have missed the warning;)

Well, if your neighbor was Caldari, at least you'd have smart neighbors.

I feel your pain...
I've been pout of town on business for almost 14 days. My 700mhz laptop has no chance of loading EVE, and there's work work work work work...
Ugh.
So I'm outta here tonight. I got my plane setup. I'm going to suprise the wife at home, relax, cook some dinner, and when she goes to sleep... it's EVE time. -- Soltaris > wow... now that sounds like a good time! What do you need from me?
Togotchen Renamour > You need to shave your body smooth, and get hold of a Gorn costume. Also, learn the lyrics to "I love a parade".
Soltaris > haha... hmm... how about if I just learn the lyrics?

When I lost internet connection I went out in the backyard with a flashlight.
I pointed it against big rocks and made a "mmmmmmmmwwwwyyyyyeeeeeee..... mmmmmmmwwwwwyyyyyeeee....." sound.
I did it for several hours a day. * -"You know, we play the "good guys" right? We kill pirates, griefers, retards and general subversive elements in the EVE-Community. To the rest, we are friendly and always prepared to help out. Peo |

lvl 5 skills are the best to train while away i find havent quite gotten to the point where im making noises from eve but ive been watching alot of player created vids - which i must say some are quite good - but it still doesnt replace the fun of playing.
