all of them, is the short answer and you could purchase some hardwire implants as well.
Ladies and gentlemen, we will shortly be experiencing some exploding followed by some crashing...so i'd hold on if i were you! |

I'd recommend, as a start, Rapid Launch/Missile Projection/Missile Bombardment/Target Navigation Prediction to at least 4. Take Missile Launcher Operation to V, you need that for cruise/torps anyway. Then get Guided Missile Precision to at least 4 if you use cruise missiles, Warhead Upgrades to 4, and then run your chosen weapon type to V and grab the appropriate specialization skill. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Kill Mission Survival Guide
Managing aggro, that is focusing on the correct group of hostiles, is a pre-requisite for Level IV's also. The above link will help you plan your mission tactics and save you a lot of grief.
Good luck!!

Also one more thing Target painter and Drone skills. I find its really important to use painter and drones to deal with the smaller ships it helps a lot even with good missile skills. Set of small and Medium drones will help you a lot

Getting skills to use T2 drones will be a big help if you solo L4..Then your gang of small T2 drones will take care of any frigs, and let you focus on bigger targets. Zaldoc...Miner Zaldoza..Mission Runner

Level 4 missions aren't designed for noobs to run them. You WILL die unless you have a decent number of SP focused in the right areas. (5-10 mill is a good guide)

Depends how often you play, how often you loose a ship, and how well you plan your skills..But yes you will make enough money in the end, though it can seem a little slow at the start..Doing some low lvl mining whit some friends can be a good steady income also, but slows getting enough rep for the next lvl agents..Also use the highest agent available to you..But a lot of threads on how to gain rep in the forum,so look around and read those..
And you can do lvl 4 missions whit fewer than 5 mill sp,i been doing it whit since i had around 3..But naturally it gets easier the more sp/skills you get..Your best chance of survival is to know what your up against. Zaldoc...Miner Zaldoza..Mission Runner

If you're not tanking the level 4's then you can join a fleet of friends and hop right into the action straight away.
Tanking is totaly different though, so you might want to invest in some skillpoints into your shield/armour skills first. Lastely T2 drones are a definate...
EDIT: actualy your character is older than mine and your asking about level 4's? Unless you're only just getting into combat after you started in industry?

There have been some nice posts here. Perhaps this condenses some of it and I hope adds somewhat as well.
IMO Target painter(s) is a must after the QR balance for any Heavy or larger missile boat.
Target Painting (lvl 4) skill alone is not enough.
Must also train these two skills or the Target Painter mod is not going to be effective enough.
Signature Focusing (lvl 4 eventually lvl 5) Frequency Modulation (lvl 4 eventually lvl 5)
As already mentioned a few times T2 drones should be trained up.
Regarding missiles. Train the skill directly related to your missile choice to at least lvl 4.
Ancillary Missile Skills to train to lvl 4:
Target Navigation Prediction Guided Missile Precision
Also train the skills which increase rate of fire which increases your overall dps. And Warhead Upgrades will increase dps as well.
After that train the skills which increase the speed of the missiles. No affect that I'm aware of on dps but it does give you farther reach with the missiles which I think you will find nice to have.
If you stay in missiles you will want to eventually train all of these to lvl 5 and get into T2 launchers. |
