It would be unfair to simply give the shares to one person who invested in xabier, to be fair the shares would have to be evenly distributed (based on percent isk scammed) to all people people who lost isk to xabier. This would be alot of work considering it would have to be divided between all of xabier's investors as well as DBank....

However simply keeping his investment is fine. And Dawts doesn't need to worry about a slippery slope. The scammer posted in other threads and he is main and alt with evn. Paying him would make one more a scammer than not paying him.

Well, I don't think that splitting 100million among everyone who was scammed would be possible because you would have to confirm if they were actually scammed. why not just pick one person who you can confirm was scammed by Xabier? otherwise, your looking at too much work.

Bond Update
Current NAV is just below 600M.
Small Gods Bond Summary
On the Xavier issue. While I dislike paying Xavier more money, I have to agree with the majority of the senior MD players that the bond offering did not indicate that a bond would forfit if the player scammed. If I was to excluded Xavier, I would have to show that all the other bond holders were clean and this is not a box that I wish to open.

While I would have liked the opportunity to buy out Xabier's bond, I agree that NOT forcing him out is the right thing to do.
This action speaks volumes about your integrity. |

Yes.
We do not have the right to take justice into our own hands.
Why not? There's a serious lack of justice in EVE due to CCP stance on this so why shouldn't we take justice into our own hands? What do governments do to fight scammers in real life? Right, they confiscate their assets (what's left of them). Since we have no government here we'll just have to do it ourselves. I wonder if there are any E-Bank accounts that are owned by known scammers, cause if there are, and E-Bank managament refuses to lock these accounts, then they are no better then a corrupt government refusing to persecute known criminals.
But here I go saying that E-Bank should be allowed to function as a government, which is quite a farfetched idea, or is it not? I kinda like it.
But to the guy running this business, refusing to give that scammer his ISK back would not hurt your reputation in my view, but will actually improve it for me as it shows you are against scamming and are even willing to fight it. Right now, I wouldn't go near anyone in this thread saying you can't confiscate his ISK, but then again, I have developed scamphobia and think everyone is a scammer (I sometimes even have my doubts about Ricdic and Chribba, even though they've proved time and again that they won't scam). |

Got the money, thanks!
Also, to protect my shareholder interest, might it be possible to hide that second worksheet that says what you've bought and sold? I'd hate to see someone get in on that market and reduce your returns...

Damien,
While I appreciate your concern please be aware that you are not a shareholder this is a bond. Your returns are not variable they are fixed. If anyone wished to undercut me they could easily do a search on my name in contracts so posting last months deals should not make any difference to next months returns.

Bond Update
Current Adjusted NAV is 1188M.
(Note adjusted to take into consideration dividend payments)
Small Gods Bond Summary
A slow start of the month caused mainly by RL. However sufficient monthly profit generated to cover bond payment after two weeks.
Once the spare cash is reinvested, I hope to have close to enough stock to achieve the 2B NAV level. Whether I can achieve this in the six weeks remaining on the bond, considering the expansion in two weeks time, remains to be seen.

Bond Update - 2 Month
Current Adjusted NAV is 1568M.
(Note adjusted to take into consideration dividend payments)
Small Gods Bond Summary
Adjusted NAV jumped in the last few days bring the month to month increase to over 500M, half of month one but closer to what I was originally expecting.
The jump means that we are now rapidly approaching the 2B NAV point and the trigger for the final special dividend. Assuming that this is reached early and there is sufficient liquid cash available I will buy back the bond and issue the three month dividend/special dividend as part of the payback.
I will be starting a new thread to discuss future plans for Small Gods.

Bond Update
Current Adjusted NAV is 1908M.
(Note adjusted to take into consideration dividend payments)
Small Gods Bond Summary
The recent expansion has infact had the inverse effect on faction good sales and Small Gods has seen a strong profit growth over the last week.
I've sold off some of the smaller value faction items that have been sitting in the warehouse which give extremely high % returns if not the highest actual return, for example 10M item selling for 15M rather than 100M item selling for 125M. I've also taken some quick turn around deals that generate small actual returns. Overall we are achieving an average 25% profit on all goods sold (7.6B in sales in ~10 weeks)
I'm now confident that I can reach the 2B point and the second special dividend payment.

Bond Update
Current Adjusted NAV is 2058M.
(Note adjusted to take into consideration dividend payments)
Small Gods Bond Summary
Small Gods confirms that we have exceded the 2B NAV level that allows the second special bond payment to be released. SG has therefore turned 1B into 3B in approx 10 weeks
Due to RL holiday over easter, I will look to close down the bond early. Special payment and 3rd month dividend will be issued in the upcoming days. I will need to talk to Bad Bobby (who holds the collateral) about how the principle will be returned.
Any IPO issued by Small Gods in the future will be after I return from this break.

1. I put the collateral up on contract for 1 billion isk. 2. You accept the contract, the collateral goes back to you and the isk comes to me. 3. I return the isk to each investor using the list in this thread. 4. Each investor confirms that they have received their isk back. 5. Profit!
Alternatively, I could just leeeeeeroy the Thanatos at a target of your choice so that this bond can go out with a bang... but it's not exactly fit for combat and ghetto fit caps are not really my thing. Your choice!

Edited by: Laskin Veldstar on 27/03/2009 00:21:29 Albeit a small amount to risk on the market, you Mr. DeBeer's handled this investment quite well. I hope your expansion leads to further investment opportunities in the near future. I missed out on this one, but I assure you I will make the next.
