Yes, you need to have other applications running on the same desktop. It doesn't work with the official client, just with wine. |

I use eve alone on one virtual desktop, when i need to do something outside of eve.. just use <ctrl><alt> + left or right arrow (depends on current virtual desktop position). It's a sort of pseudo alt-tab :) but imho works even faster. |

Just to confirm that this works on Ubuntu 7.10 too.

no alt-tab on linux, you will have to manually create one
System > Preferences > Keyboard > Layout tab > Layout Options:
Scroll to Alt.Win Key Behavior and select the "Super is mapped to the Win-keys." > then close the window.
System > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts:
Scroll down to "Hide all windows and focus desktop" and enter the win key + D as a shortcut (it will show up as Mod4+D)
Run EVE and test LaVista Vista for president! .
