Alica is laughing to tears.
Okay, for all those under the knout of the Amarr Empire just tell me where I shall smuggle a shipload of this and I'll deliver promptly. This is not the literature I'd prefer to read, of cause. It's pulp and I'd prefer the ones with a bit more substance. Like the political roman "Call of Freedom", that was given last years literal awards. Even if I didn't like the way it was turning at the end. Or the classic "Wild born" adventure roman, which is also forbidden fruit for the Amarr.
And of cause some of the political and humanistic publications that were available at Pator and not in the Amarr Empire. Pax Amarr? Bah.
Okay. I'll accept orders everywhere in Empire Space, except Rancer systems and around for this and will deliver for a fee of 400k isk of profit per jump from Pator for every 500 cubic meters of this books. Fair price for contraband, I think. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS

Anyway, I picked up a copy of Her Master's Voice in Half this morning. I thought some light reading might help me get over the heartbreak and trauma.

Right. Obviously there is not even the smallest amount of fact behind this spin.
Not like you could not write a good scandal romance of EM based on a true story. So why go for total fabrication? Fear of law suits?

First I must say the quality of the writing is a bit less than immersing, however the stories themselves were simply delicious. *smiles softly* Princess of Pator was definitely interesting, I would have to contact Elsebeth for some pointers if it were even remotely based in truth.
Though, I wonder, is the surgical alteration to your tongue true?

Dear, if things were as the story dictated I doubt there's a man or woman in New Eden that could have said no. The Empress herself would have been begging by the final chapter, should she have found herself in your position. |

The fact that you can visualize the position well enough to try to imitate it with that much difficulty says a few good things about the vividness of the prose, at least.

I just did a little research. It appears that purchases by Capsuleers now account for a disproportionately large percentage of Interstellar Intrigue's takings for this month. (a full 3.7%).
It seems they're already planning on exploiting this fact for their next advertising campaign. |

They must be waiting for "The Chronicles of Melichor" to print. I believe the first book is, "Voyage of the FCS Endeavor."

Is this because the censors say they're racy? or because the censors say they're not very good?
Considering the Pax Amarria is the most sold book in the Empire, I'm guessing it's the former, and not the later. I think the subject matter, or perhaps just the covers, was the reason they're banned in Amarr space.
Ironically enough, I cought a few Amarrians in a Gallente station buy several copies of the series, later that week I was in Zorrabed and saw them launch several cans full of the books into the system's sun.

Fair warning, that means you'll have to pay Rebecca Diangelo a royalty every time you handshake with docking control, jump control, or a fellow pilot.
Not that you'll really notice - the amounts of money involved are negligible by our standards.

A couple thousand isk payment every once in awhile is a small price to pay to patron the fine arts. Besides, its worth it for crew morale if nothing else. Apparently all the titles are making their way through my Maelstrom's crew berthing like wildfire, though the Princess of Pator seems to be their sentimental favorite... |

Kayleigh storms into the apartment like a whirlwind and stops just inside the living room, scowling, brandishing a small book in her hand. At the surprised look of the silver-haired woman lounging on the couch, she growls "I found one of my racing team mechanics reading this!"
She tosses the volume at her wife, and paces around hands on her hips and stiff with anger, as Nakatre flips through the pages. "That's not even fan-fic! Jude is a good man but I don't go around being helpless and crying on people's shoulders."
At the badly concealed snicker from the couch she stops and scowls again, grey eyes boring into the other woman. "You're not helping!" More laughter.
Suddenly deflating, she drops onto the couch, angry gaze pointed at the ceiling. "'Race starlet' bah!"
