Now this has never happened to me before. If the answer is simple, I'm sorry for my dumbness
Anyway, I was minding my own business (meaning looking for targets to ninja salvage ) and all of a sudden I get a lock on a pod. "Meh..." I thought, "just another pilot...". But since this was way off a "jump line", I thought I would take a quick peak; maybe I would hit the jackpot and find the remnants of a mission runner's ship.
What I found there was more, erm, disturbing. A unpiloted pod, trembling like a spastic kiddo. I tried to scoop it up; no luck. I tried to board it. Lucky! (...) Check jump clones, fine. check skills, fine. check imps; ahhh no luck. Dunno if it was because my *before clone* didn't have any implants, but this new pod didn't either.
Question is, as this ever happened to anyone else before? Never before I had seen a pod flying around without the 1-man crew inside.

I have a whole stack of pods in my hangar that I can bring with me and eject (eg Orca) to give you all floating pods... wonder what happends if you board a pod from a pod though... gonna try it.

You've had over 15 minutes, where are the scientific results.
If boarded from a carrier i think you would just swap pods, If boarded in space i think you loose the previous pod.
If you can manage to squeeze your entire pod through a small pod door on another pod, we may have a position for you in FinFleet as we have been known to repeatedly force large opbects into small openings with varying degrees of success.

Do be careful of the words you choose. I have a disabled brother, and this is an offensive term for me. I'm sure you didn't mean any offense, but you do need to be wary, as you don't know who is reading these posts.

It wouldn't let me launch it, so I self-destructed both my Orca and my Indy with pods in all bays that would accept it, but they wouldn't get thrown into space upon destruction

I warped in a POD once, but due to a dampening problem, when i exited warp, my corpse was flown right through the side of the POD at 1AU/sec and into the vast darkness of space.

qft.
In America a "Spastic" person is one that acts out in a random and highly energetic manner. The typical "Spaz" is your average kid that has had WAY too much sugar and is figuratively bouncing off the walls. (IE: My kid was Spazzing out after having 4 slices of birthday cake!)
Nothing offensive about it here.
Of course, in America "Bloody" means "Covered in blood", not something rude. So "Spaz" isn't the only slang word with a completely different meaning here.

It would seem many words, because of their negative association, get labelled as offensive. Spastic used to be the term used to describe someone who suffers from involuntary muscle contractions e.g. cerebral palsy.
'Half cast' is sometimes offensive to people of mixed race however it wasn't always like this. Back when I was in school I used this phrase to genuinely describe another pupil to a teacher and I thought nothing of it as this was what I'd been taught. However times had changed since then and my teacher had to explain to me that people of mixed race can be made to feel they are 'half a person' when referred to as 'half cast'. This was in 1998 and back then I thought this was absurd.
Now I just roll over and play dead when faced with the slow march of political correctness.

I was once part of a gang who probed out an abandoned punisher in a safe spot by mistake, There was an empty pod sitting next to it.
Naturally i had to try boarding it, So i ejected, waited 30 seconds and boarded (didn't know at the time that you don't have to eject first, The results?
Well, My old pod disappeared and i got control of the new one, However, It, And therefor me, Still appeared on my friends overview with the name of the original owner of the pod, If they right clicked the pod in space or on the overview and did a show info it STILL looked like it was piloted by the original owner, Although i still looked like myself in local.
Funniest part tbh was when i started moving and a corpmate who hadn't been paying attention noticed the pod moving and thought whoever was in it had come back after being afk and was trying to escape.... He tried to pod me right away, The only reason he didn't was that he didn't get enough hits right away and managed to turn his guns off when i started yelling on vent.
This rather amusing effect disappeared once i reboarded my ship though :(
Too bad, Would have been nice to be able to fly around in my ship looking like i wasn't an outlaw tbh |

I wonder if the effect (you appearing to be the Other Guy in his pod) would have persisted across a session change (gate jump). If so, would make for an interesting way for Those With Low Sec Status to traverse highsec.
