Got 3 clients installed in different locations.
Got a quadcore 3000 mhz with 3 gb 1600 mhz ram and a mainboard to support it. Also got dual 8800 xfx. How come ONE of my clients always gets laggy? And its always the same.
Buddy list and block list cleaned up. Same cache settings and graphix settings on them all. No sound enabled.
Please explain, this has been a problem for a long time now.

Try this if you haven't already.
You have a quadcore, so each client can run on its own core.
Bring up task manager and right click on each client and set its affinity to a particular core, do it for all 3 and see if that changes anything for you.

On my quadcore I regularly run 4 clients. Use a separate installtion for each instance, and assign 1 core to each, and set them to "below normal" priority. And make sure you use "interval one" in the advanced settings section of the esc menu. |

I've found that if I try to run more than two clients, one of them will always lag (even if I downgrade the settings on all the clients). I can run two clients with everything maxed, but if I try to run a third client on either of the two secondary outputs from my graphics card, it lags (not badly, but noticably - client 1 & 2 will be doing 70fps, client 3 and 4 will be doing 20 fps).
Still trying to find a solution, as no amount of tweaking settings or setting processor affinity/priority seems to alter this.
AMD Phenom X4 9600 (Second Generation) 3Gb 1066Mhz RAM Dual ATI 3870HD Windows XP
Not sure what the root of the problem is, but I've kind of concluded that you just can't get that third or fourth monitor to run at a reasonable framerate.
