Were you ever scrambled or affected by ewar and tried desperately to find the pilot(s) providing you with that much virtual ewar love so that you can return the favour with deadly missiles, drones or gunfire? Did you ever fail to spread your love due to icons being very small in the overview?

I was actually thinking this should be a feature only yesterday. We should have web/scram/etc icons on the target bar or something.
Not entirely sold on the potentially clunky right click interface, but it looks great so far.

This is awesome, but where can I see the debuffs on the targets?
EWAR in fleet fights have historically been pretty insignificant, due to the scale of things. With small gangs, it's easy to coordinate ECM/tracking disruption etc, but in fleet fights it's near impossible.
Being able to see what debuffs a locked target has would be a HUGE buff to ewar in fleetfights, and in a smaller sense in small gangs as well. It'd also let a well coordinated gang outperform a less coordinated gang, by allowing people to spread points, ECM, tracking disruption and sensor dampening among the hostiles.
Can we PLEASE get debuff displays on targets soon? ;) |

That's a pretty sweet new feature.
A really awesome tweak would be if you could ctrl-click on the names that appear when you right click the icon to target the hostile. Anything that reduces the number of nested menus required in combat would be really good.

This is awesome!!! Only thing that would be cool to add, if only one person is say webbing you, could you add the ability to just ctrl + click to lock target? That would be very sweet indeed.

It might also be handy to move the duration of effects you're under to a circular timer around the module type, rather than the bars. Oh, also maybe a icon if you're in a bubble?

Maybe not in the first iteration of this, but I think it would really good to have a summation of each individual effect placed at the bottom right of each icon. Say, for example, that you are pointed by 2 scrams and 1 disrupter. In the bottom right you would have a 5. Or if you are being webbed by a few different people with different webs, it could sum the total % of slow. That saves you having to count each one.
It's not needed, but it would be a nice little addition :) |

Two things:
Currently, one can look for visual effects or the overview icon to figure out incoming ewar. Neither of these methods is able to directly figure out the number of an ewar module active. This is not only a good UI imporvment it is also a stealth gameplay change as now hostiles will have more information about your fitting/behavior than previously.
How will ECM be handled? Currently one only sees the icon from successful ecm. Being able to see if someone is trying to ecm but didn't hit any cycles yet is information that should be available. Does ecm even have a visual effect? |
