Edited by: Marbius Ardishapur on 20/01/2009 23:18:06 By order of the Empress, the Ministry of Internal Order has detained pilot Sepherim accused of high treason, heresy, dealing with terrorists, dealing with pirates, dealing with heretics, and conspiracy. He has been transported to one of our facilities in the Holy Deliverance, and is pending interrogation and trial.
His execution will, hopefully, be soon.
For His Will, Amarr Victor!

Mostly known terrorist groups inside the Empire. He has been known to have relationships with some terrorists of the Blood Raiders and the Electus Matari, too. The rest of the file is confidential, I¦m afraid, and will remain only for the eyes of his Inquisitor. |

Leopold looked up to one of the video screens assorted in the Dam Torsad's streets, at the announcement by the Ministry of Sepherim been taken into custody. He let out a deep sigh, shaking his head while pulling his hood over it and disappearing in a nearby alley.

Attempting to execute Pilots now? Surely this is a symbolic gesture and his clone contract will fulfill itself; I don't even want to think of the fallout of any faction actually killing an egger. Or, perhaps his motives are similar to Pilot Hakatain's, maybe he is hoping for change and pushed the wrong people.
*Inara pulls out a silver case from the folds of her suit, upon opening it she curses slightly*
All these Pilots throwing wrenches in the order of things is causing me to think too much, thinking too much in turn gets me rather stressed, and now I'm out of sticks to get rid of the stress and will have to hope that my contact isn't running low as well.

Seems like everyone and their dog are getting accused of being a traitor these days. I guess the proxy war must be a fever pitch right now. Well at least we're fashionable again I suppose.

I am afraid Miss Subaka, that if Pilot Sepherim has been detained in such a manner his neural jack and its transmission equipment will have been removed. The best he can hope for is that the last back-up imprint that was recorded is still in the buffer and is still viable and can be used to re-animate him. There are risks to this, and he may suffer various amounts of memory loss, but it might work.
This illustrates our vulnerability when we are out of our pods. On the ground, we are little better then any other person, mortality wise, at least.
What surprises me is that this has occurred at all. I would like to see the charges, myself, and their specifics, but that, as has been pointed out, is highly unlikely. Perhaps some inquiry might be made, but I doubt anything substantiative will come of it.
I hope this does not foreshadow other accusations against other members of this community. I would however, recommend that those of you who are within the grasp of the various law enforcement entities, and are at risk of being singled out and made examples of in regards to unpopular political and social ideals, take precautions as you see fit. These are, after all, dangerous times.
<Veron Daerth smiles sadly>

This is what I was referring too, I don't get far from my pod without having an up to date neural scan done, and I would assume most Pilots take similar precautions. |

An irritating noise was waking Sardoniac out of his slumber. Dizzy he stood up and went over to his communication console. The computer had obviously filtered some important information which needed immediate action. He rubbed his eyes, grabbing for his empty tea cup while pressing a button on the console to display the search result that was important enough to rob him of a good nights sleep.
Like in slow motion the characters appeared on the screen and he didnt even hear the sound of his cup hitting the floor, bursting into a thousand shards as well as he didnt feel the sharp edges burrowing in his flesh.
For more than a minute he stared through the screen to some distant galaxy only visibile to him without blinking until his gaze - still detached - went down to the floor. The cup his old tutor had given him was not the only thing that had been shattered tonight... |

What nonsense is this?
Those accusations sound like a load of bunk.
Who are you anyway, Marbius Ardishapur? What gives you authorisation to do such shenanigans?
Sepherim? an enemy of the Empire? I think not.
How about me? Going to come after me, too? I was in the Gallente militia, after all.
I challenge you, Marbius Ardishapur. I challenge you to combat in space, my cruiser against yours. If I win, you release Sepherim. If you win... I... I'll be your prisoner too.

You know Dougans, if this man is who he says he is, he won't agree to your request. And if he's not, and this entire thing is a name-slander, then he's not likely to do anything about your request either. I'm worried for Sepherim as well, strange as that might be...
But I don't think this path of action will help him or anyone. If you want to help, try contacting his corporation so you can learn where he was last seen. I imagine some of them, if not all might be trying to locate him. That is, if he's missing at all.
Personally -
*The sounds from the recording is drowned out by the sound of wind howling shortly. When it stop, Bloodbird walks down the ramp from his ship and onto the hanger floor. Once they reach a personnel shuttle to the next ship he starts talking again*
Where was I... ah, yes. Personally, I'm not 100% sure what to think of this. Sepherim might be what this man says, or he might not. I don't know the man so can't say for sure. However challenging a man of possibly very high standing in the Empire don't seem like the way to go.
For what it's worth i do hope he is fine. I value Imperial loyalists over pirates any day, and Sepherim seemed an upstanding person, to me. To many people change recently, to many things happend...
*The shuttle stops and Bloodbird get's out and smile warmly to the camera, before walking towards a capsule anchoring site to prepare for departure, while his crew boards his Arbitrator-class cruiser before him. After a while he looks back to realize the camera is still rolling, and stops to cut the feed*

Is this another of those sham trials Jamyl Sarum have been setting up to clear away all who criticize her illegitimate rule?
I wouldn't be surprised if the hamfisted 9th-generation slave release was just another provocation in order to drive out dissenters and provide her with an excuse to depose the opposition. After all. Tell a man that he's free and can do whatever he wants and he'll be bright about it. Tell a million men that they're free and that they can do whatever they want and you're likely to have a riot. And there were riots. Less than expected, but there were riots.
Sepherim was after all one of the more vocal protesters against the unorthodox was that Sarum gained the throne. |

And what? I fought for the Federal Defence Union. There's actual hard proof of this. Sepherim is no enemy of the Empire, these accusations are bowb.
If I can offer myself, as a proven "criminal", in exchange for Sepherim's freedom, then this Marbius would be a fool for not taking me up on this offer, as refusing would show there's nothing but political shenanigans to it. This isn't about justice, it's about politics.

There's more and more of this lately it would seem.
I recommend some patience in the matter, surly you can appreciate that; If there's anything I've learned of the Empire, it's the fact they don't rush things like this. Even if he's found guilty, they'll throw him in a dark corner somewhere for a few years to let the hype slow down before getting around to his execution. And it will be no where nearly as garish and hair-knuckled as some executions that we have seen recently.

[23]
Edited by: Amann Karris on 22/01/2009 08:05:58 Before I begin, I would like to make it clear that I make this statement on behalf of myself and my House. I am not a formal representative of the Ordo Quaesitoris.
A respected friend and colleague of mine has been detained, Keter Sepherim of the Ordo Quaesitoris. His detention is the result of investigations begun by the Ministry of Internal Order into the operations and activities of the Ordo Quaesitoris. As a member of the Ordo, a Capsule certified pilot, and a minor Holder, I find myself in a unique position.
Keter Sepherim has been a friend and ally for a long time. During the Holder Wars, he and I strove for a quick end to the conflict that threatened to weaken this great Empire. In service of Brother Joshua of the Speakers of Truths, in service to the Empire in the Bleak Lands, and now in the Holy Crusade, he has served, to the best of his ability, the best interests of the Empire.
When my faith has faltered, he was there to lead me back by his example of duty, loyalty and compassion. He has been a rock, and a beacon to my faith.
He is not a man without faults, however, and those faults have in the past cast a shadow over his dealings. To those who do not know him personally, he may outwardly seem contradictory. A loyal Amarrian who seeks to understand the threats we face, both foreign and domestic. He seeks to understand All of God's Creation.
Keter Sepherim has served the Empire in many ways, on many occasions. He has never been a man who sought the easy path, nor a man who would choose to run from his obligations. I know that my friend, whether the charges brought against him were false and baseless, would humbly face judgment.
The Ordo that he leaves behind is a testament to his devotion. We are pilots of skill, determination and resolve. The Ordo is greater than just one man, and our enemies shall not rest easy despite the detention of our leader. As this great Empire stood after the death of our last Emperor, so too shall the Ordo stand as we await the righteous return of our Keter.
As the investigation continues, House Karris and myself, my crews, and my personal staff will cooperate fully in further proceedings. I further recognize the authority of Marbius Ardishapur to investigate me and my House.
I do however want to make one thing abundantly clear. I am a Capsuleer, and as such I am afforded certain protections by CONCORD. Make your accusations, investigate me if you wish, but I will continue to serve the Empire and the Empress as I see fit, according to the Will of God.
On a personal note, I would like to add that I am certain that Sepherim understands and respects the outpouring of support that he has received, but I know Sepherim. He has gone willingly to his fate, in accordance to his selfless desire to see the best interests of the Empire met.
If this act alone does not speak to his loyalty and love for the Empire, if it does not speak to his trust in the will of God and Empire, no amount of investigation will prove otherwise.
I, Lord Amann Karris, Patron Holder of House Karris, salute the sacrifice and bravery Keter Sepherim has shown in facing his fate and answering to these accusations brought against him.
In the name of God, the Holy Amarr Empire, and Her Majesty Empress Jamyl I:
Amarr VICTOR!
Lord Amann Karris Marshal Commander of the 24th Imperial Crusade Netzaj Acolyte of the Ordo Quaesitoris
