The only option your Republic has is to preserve the status quo. Perhaps try to get as many of your people free through non-hostile contact (as agression towards the Empire will be met with swift and terrible retribution). Your Prime Minister knows this. Your Tribal Council knows this. If the Republic goes to war, we will obliterate you.
Fragmenting your little fledgling Republic only serves our purposes. You divide your people and you think this is beneficial to your cause.
It doesn't.
All the more reason for us paramilitary organisations to continue our offensive operations against the Amarr. The Republic is too weak to stand up to the Empire, so we have to do the fighting on behalf of our people.

They will never get our people freed. As our slaver friends here will testify, the Amarr Empire will NEVER voluntarily give up their slaves.

Listen, we are not Amarrian. Figures and facts about the size of your Fleet and your almighty skill in beating up weaker races does not bother me. We have been fighting your race as the under-dogs since the first revolts of the Minmatar Rebellion, and have come a long way. We are now stronger than we have ever been, and grow more so every day.

I won't deny that some of the poor souls we liberate are beyond our ability to rehabilitate. Some simply ask to be put out of their misery, other require years of counciling and a life-time of drugs to keep them sane. However, many more go on to lead constructive and happy lives- either peacefully in the Republic or other free space, or by joining our ranks and helping those who helped them. You would be suprised the number of slaves we have rescued who cannot wait for a chance to get revenge upon Amarrian slavers.
