Edited by: Alexander Sinclair on 24/01/2009 02:44:38 I came to the epic revalation (should be added to the Amarrian Bible) that 7-Eleven pizza, pizza cooked in a convenience store none the less tastes better to me then my favorite Pizza Hut Pizza. Now you guys can feel free to agree, disagree, or even flame me for being a idiot, but those are my feelings. :P |

I have noticed Pizza Hut pizzas are much better from restaurants in a top-notch neighbourhood, where people seem to give a damn, than from restaurants in city centre locations where the staff are only there to punch a clock. You can taste the difference in the crust, never overdone.
We do not have 7-Eleven in the UK for comparison, but I have noticed AMT > Starbucks for about half the price. Ask for the Froffee with a pretzel. Mmmrgh. |

I agree, it does taste a lot better, but then again I've noticed the quality of Pizza Huts pizza going down the drain the past couple of years anyway! |

ppj's baby
(papa john's). if you have to go with a nationwide restaurant that doesn't have a single chef in the restaurant cooking that would be my pick.
there is an original Italian pizza in my town (they are just a chain by name. each owner does what he wants with the menus & foods). The guy that runs ours is OLD school Italian and he has one concern, good food. Price? he doesn't give a ****, you eat there or you don't.
Pizza is the best. Wings are the best. Dinners are the best. Everything is ****ing perfect. ---------- "This is Chopper Dave's made for TV movie, Blades Of Vengeance. See, he's a chopper pilot by day, but by night he fights crime as a werewolf... YEAH!" |

Last time I was at a 7-11, they did not have pizza. I bout a toquito or whatever it is for ~$3 and it gave me heart burn after the first bite.
To date my favorite pizzas have tended towards a traditional margarita. |

If anyone is in Houston and wants good Italian I can highly recommend Colina's, great food there (and not too pricey either). After all, everyone needs some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post.

I'm a papa johns fan as well. In fact my room mates and I used to order it so often that one time a new driver couldn't find the place and we ended up getting it delivered by the manager himself and he kept apologizing for the delay while we kept trying to tell him we weren't worried about it.

/signed So upset that my local PPJs closed down Only options for delivery now are Dominoes (who I can't stand) and Tops who are actually not bad. They let you put chillis on a pizza for that little extra kick. Chillis!!!11!!!one!! -------------

In all fairness, i've never heard of the second place, although Pizza Hut is pretty expensive so I don't go there that often.

Pizza Hut pizza tastes like it was dipped in salt. VILE! I can actually FEEL my body crying out for water after eating a slice of Pizza Hut pizza. Ugh. So gross.
Microwave pizza can be ok, depending on what brand. Honestly, local pizzeria pizza is often the best. We have several here in Erie County NY (Buffalo and suburbs) that are flat-out fantastic. |

Your 7-11's sell pizza too!? I wish ours did
Best pizza places where I live (Australia) are either independant places that do nice italian style pizza's, or a pizza place called New York Slice which does American styled pizzas (e.g. the ones that are huge with the thin base which are greasy as all hell that I've encountered while holidaying in the US on various occaisions). Unfortunately, both of these options are much more expensive than Dominos and Pizza Hut pizza's here (3 to 6 times more expensive -_-).
In terms of Dominos and Pizza Hut, they taste pretty much the same - I've found it's the individual stores which are different rather than the brands which makes sense I guess seeing as they're made almost exactly the same.
Oh how I wish I could get burritos and pizza and all sorts of weird things from my convenience stores Meanwhile, on the other side of town . . . |

The best pizza place is always local, and never a mega-chain, anyways my post was to hopefully trickle down to the public and shame Pizza Hut into making tastier pizza, though I doubt that will happen though, but I'm laying down the Gauntlet, engraved with Pizza Iconography, anyway my personal tastes are opinions but, I think alot of people think Pizza Hut Pizza could be improved upon, to put it diplomatically. |
