I am a former EU member that was removed for inactivity back when I unsubscribed Eve. I've decided to return to the game and would like to rejoin EU to relearn the basics again. Is there anyone I can talk to concerning this?

Sure talk to one of our recruitment officers. Ask in "Eve University" public chat. Understand we're at war atm so it probably wouldn't do you much good joining though and you'd have to have all your war gear ready etc ______ Cazzah, Recruiting Manager Eve University |

The best thing I ever did was roll this main to join the Uni. It's a second account - I was too old to join by the time I found out about the Uni. Sure, I had to fake being a noob a little while, but it was way worth it. A week in and I learned as much as I did in 6 mos outside the uni. And a lot of it was stuff that's not so easy to look up ... the tactics, whys and wherefores as opposed to the mechanics that you can look up.
Start out in Eve Uni. It's a no brainer. Just do it early - don't go sneak in like I did!

Hi there, I am a pilot with 2m SP (Mostly ships, piloting, missiles and electronics), and have played EVE on and off for a while, but never had any structured learning. I think that I would really gain a lot from joining EVE Uni as I have just reactivated and have forgotton most of what I ever learned
please let me know if this is possible? I am essentially a newbie, albeit one with 2m SP.

Finally!
You people are always being attacked, I don't understand it. I was worried I would be past my eight weeks with your constant wars! lol.
I will find an office and try to submit my app asap before you are attacked by the next group of a-holes.

And another new player who would be interested in joining up. I've played a little bit 5 years ago, then lost interest because solo the game was extremely confusing and i was still a complete newb.
So i got a new account a month back, rolled a caldari, found out i absolutely didn't like missiles and since i didn't like my portrait either i decided to just reroll (to find out that new characters start off with 50k SP instead of 800k' ish )
But i've accepted it, got a nice set of implants and set a good skill learning path now, so i'll probably be contacting one of you soon'ish.

I must say that the idea alone is awesome. Congrads on your 5 years. I put in an application in game, but then saw there is a hold due to the war. Would very much like to finally learn something about the game. Started playing back in late 2007, but stopped because I really had a hard time getting into the game and learning the ins and outs of it. Ran with a small corp, but left when I left the game for a time. Now I am back, trying to give EVE another shot. Hopefully, I am accepted and can learn alot and enjoy the game more. Again, Congrads on five years.

The Gurlstas associates have old ties with EVE Uni as well, through some old members of the alliance, and also to date, think that these connections are very good and honour them even if they are slightly more orientated against our line of business.
they seem to be a good bunch of guys and also have my recommendation

I admit I have not read every available peace of information about E-UNI, but I fail to find any references to what time/time zones you usually schedule classes?
I would also like to ask if people with jobs and kids that have very limited time available for gaming will be able to fit into the university. It seems like a good place to learn "all about eve"

With over 1000 active characters (defined as those who have logged on in last month) we're basically on at all times. The quiestest is around downtime where you have 30-60 online. As for classes its whatever time the instructor feels like however if you give them a message they are often more than happy to accomodate requests.
If all else fails we have a library of audio of past recorded classes for you to listen to :)
Just a note to everyone war is still up the renewal date will be over the weekend so check back here then or in the "Eve University" channel to check recruiting status. ______ Cazzah, Recruiting Manager Eve University |

The Privateers have renewed their wardec. However we have cooked something up in order to somewhat allow classes, missioning and mining ops to continue as normal, even if you're not in the Uni yet and are waiting to join after the war! I'm not surprised at the wardec. I've always considered E-Uni as one of the more iconic corps in EVE, and then one day while on a pirate-busting roam in our home region, a whole E-Uni fleet jumped through.
I will not name alliances, since this posting is a personal assessment and not that of our alliance diplomat.
So there we were. A 20 something fleet, most of us in little support ships, recovering from engaging a band of pirates that were camping our lifeline to Hi-Sec space, when suddenly, something like a 60+ fleet of E-Uni trainees jumped through. We were bewildered after seeing the corp tag. E-Uni. They rarely come through our space. And then they engaged without warning, no matter they were mostly small ships, the swarm overwhelmed us. One of our pilots lost more than a billion isk worth of ships that day.
Our FC ordered us to retreat and tried to talk to the E-Uni FC with no response. We sent a smartbomber into their midst killing quite a few and they retreated.
The thing was... you attacked an anti-pirate alliance in the guise of training with no apologies afterwards (and they had really really bad fittings when we looked at our killmails afterwards), and you wonder why there are people declaring war on you.

A: E-Uni have some damn strict rules on what you can and cant target. If you're GCC, you're fair game to anything.
B: Just popping in to hand out a free bump, and yet another reccomendation for newbies to join up. Even if you dont, E-uni players in the public channel will answer most newb questions happily, they're just plain nice guys. If nothing else, give them cookies and run.
