Never really heard tagging.
Pointing means having a warp scrambler or disruptor on the target. It can also mean having a web on target as well. |

tagging may apply to broadcasting? check to see if targets are broadcast in the fleet window, default option also causes broadcast target to move to the top of overview regardless of the overview's filter options also I like toast |

In fleet movement, "pointing" means "aligning to something and stopping your ship" - so fleets don't get spread out waiting for slow-aligning ships.
I believe there is a feature whereby you can "tag" ships with a letter in the overview, though I've never used it if there is. |

you shouldn't be teaching anything you know **** all. pointing, eg getting a point on something means warp disrupting it.
edit: 'quick get a point on the gate ! this camp is boring me so much i need activate a mod on something!' |

Tagging in MMOs generally means "Mine!", not the zurrur get rocks aka Chribba style, but as in "That mob is mine *tag*".
Tagging usually is done via some form of aggression. |

Tagging. There is a column you can add on the overview called the "tag" column. The fleet commander can assign a number or letter to an enemy and that number shows up next to the enemy in the tag column. So you can display primary, secondary, tertiary targets without having to shout them out on voice. |

Never heard of tagging. "Point" is shouted when you have a disruptor or scram on a target, meaning they cannot run away. |

The tagging feature is there. You can tag targets/objects with a letter or number. Can make it easier to call targets. Only problem is that the system by which you actually 'tag' something is very clunky and obtuse.
Not being streamlined means it's not often used. There generally isn't enough time to click through the process required. ----------
