I was running the official client until I stopped playing last year. Now when I reactivate my account I find out that the linux client isn't available now. Did they cancel it?

aye cedega sucked at delivering a good product and since wine was a lot better at this part and would also run the game with HDR and bloom enabled whereas the official client was still ... at classic content!!! lol imo if i was in their shoes i d do the same . they dont seem also to have a complete blind eye to the linux community just not official support --------------------------- If u re looking for a signature u wont find any :) |

Running wine-git here, regularly updated. AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+, NVidia 7950GT, Ubuntu Jaunty.
I just fixed the autopatcher issue with EvE and the fix is committed to wine-git so if you download/build that, the autopatcher now works.

Two accounts running in Windows, because I can't get the client running in linux. Linux is primary OS though.

Aye, they did, you can use Wine to play, using the premium client, on Linux.

Running EVE Online succesfully on a regular computer and a notebook. It didn't take a whole lot of effort to make it work either. Basically a normal install, except for installing Wine and winetricks first of course.

I have EVE operational on laptop on latest 64-bit Ubuntu (through Wine) (without HDR and without bloom). Autopatcher doesn't work yet. Main gaming machine is 64-bit Vista tho. Laptop serves only as backup solution atm.

Edited by: Zaggle on 08/06/2009 19:57:09 Linux User here, Ubuntu 8.10. I'd pay $30.00 U.S. for Linux Native Eve Online Install Software. A .bin file and a readme with the list of dependencies would be fine for me. |

It's not a Windoze implementation as such, Windoze ABI(Application Binary Interface) would be a better description.

You can post a bugreport on Gentoo bugzilla, but I don't think they will change this. |

2 on Linux - use Windows when I need eve voice (which won't let my microphone work for some reason) or when I need two accounts running at the same time.
