this is my first post in the eve forums: hi all! looking forward to gaining and sharing experience.
before it was the linux client. it did not work so well. so now it is:

I have 4 Accounts. Always run with cxgames or wine.
I rarely run the official client, sometimes to check if there's something new, like a simple copy/paste outside the game, and end up using wine or cxgames.

Wine (used Wine-doors to install it) on Ubuntu. Classic runs beautifully well, have an odd graphic glitch with premium, but am sure will get to the bottom of that eventually.
CCP: looks like testing EVE on Wine is the way to go, judging from the posts here so far.
Might I suggest to fellow Linux and Wine users here that those who sensibly can volunteer to (a) submit bug-reports on new builds of EVE and (b) if CCP's interested, volunteer to help beta test EVE on Wine before it gets offiially released? (I note that in email correspondence with CCP I was told that they received very few bug reports re the official client. Clearly this is because as Linux users we have options, so rather than use something reported to eb shoddy, we go to something better, rather than us having to twiddle our thumbs until the only option open to us is fixed.)
Put me down for (a) (bug reportng) for definite, and I'll happily try my best at (b), beta-testing, if allowed.

But I also have the premium running under wine, and the classic under wine on my notebook.
I might start using wine more if the official client doesn't get any better.

The last time I tried to submit a bug report, the system refused to accept my gzipped log files (and also refused to accept them after i unzipped them) because they were the wrong type of file or something. If this has been fixed, I'll start trying to send in reports again.

Running on Gentoo and Kubuntu, for a friend one on WinXP (doesn't count)
Official client has extrem fps problem, wine smooth. Client gets to 1 fps after 3-4 hours game, especially by entering a system with many in local. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS

Would run 2 accts under Linux, but have ubuntu/wine/ati issues, and haven't managed to get it working. Bug reports or requests for help I send on it don't get any sort of acknowledgement, so I'm forced to run things under XP
Native Linux client(s) ftw, not unstable & buggy xp emulations.

I run eve under wine on a daily base when I'm @work. 2 accounts. I would be a very sad panda if i will be unable to do it after apocrypha. I used to run the premium version with premium disabled, even that my computer support the premium, but it runs better in classic mode. I tested the new SISI client and even with the premium enabled I still have issues with station graphics and stuck on login. Anyway, count me in to support the "we want to play under linux too" petition.

My Linux system was hit during a lightning strike on the power line a few months ago. Job market had me waiting to buy a new setup and I've been on my crappy Windows laptop awhile. I'm afraid this threw me into the Microsoft bucket they counted.
I joined Eve because it had native Linux support :(
Count me in for WINE.

Hello there,
I ran Eve on wine for a while (premium version)... but due to some graphical issues i turn back to XP (only for gaming). I'm a linux user for about 6 years and my most cherished wish is to play Eve on linux. I really hope that the dev team has a new look at our case.
