I was going to start freaking out because thats like 60gb's worth of QUALITY that ive amassed over the course of several years, but then I had a revelation.
I planned for this.
Started up undelete, and restored all the lost files, which are convinently located on a seperate HDD solely used for storing files. Mind you I had to restore them to my main drive first, but phew.
Anyone else here every accidentally deleted something they care about and then gone OH GOD WHAT DID I JUST DO?

lol.
I once deleted my entire 2 year portfolio before, didn't realise for two days, luckily I had it backed up on three other computers. That was a close call.

use undelete to restore it.
As long as you havent already overwritten the space on your HDD, you can restore it 100% most of the time. there are plenty of currently free programs.
Ive already restored everything, just missing NGE, and elfen lied which got kicked out of recycle bin, and are harder to restore. I have a special tool for that....

Ohh lord thats awful.
I'm grateful all I lost was my anime folder, as it can easily be downloaded again through the various places I got it, just my ISP wouldn't be very happy with me.

Closest I came to this was when Windows Vista threw up it's arms and claimed my how data storage drive was corrupted and had deleted everything to keep me safe... roll on 2hrs later, "Windows XP has discovered a corrupted drive and files, do you want to restore?". ------

Oh yes.. Did a reinstall of vista not so long ago, formatting the bootdisk as usual.. Then installed all the usual stuff aswell, and some other stuff, and didnt have much space left on c:\... THEN it hit me out of the blue what i had just done...
I had copied all of my ex-gf's personal picture collection from from labtop over to my pc, cause hers needed a reformat aswell.. thats over 8000 pics, her pics with family, freinds, parties and holidays over the last 6 years. And for some god awful reason i just copied all of it to my boot disk.. not any other of my 2 disks, but the boot one. which i deleted.... And it wasnt any comfort to her that i only managed to save around 300 with recovery tools, as i installed stuff again after the format.. and worst part is, she was about to copy all of it to cd's, but her labtop acted up and made it a hard task.. and i was all like "I'll clean it for you np, backup your stuff, sweep the labtop clean, then throw your stuff back on it again so you can burn 100 cd's with pics.. np.."
"Oh god, what did i do" just doesnt cut it in my case

I accidentally all my work during a C programming course at university once and there was no way I could rewrite everything (which ought to say a thing or two about my understanding of the project, but I digress...). I've been told that the look on my face that moment was beyond words.
Luckily it was on one of my accounts on the uni system, so all I had to do was send an email to the techs saying "sorry to bother you but can you please restore yesterday's backup kthx?". Back on track (minus the current days work, which wasn't much) within a couple of minutes. \o/
Don't think I've ever accidentally deleted anything really important that I couldn't restore somehow, lucky me.

Windows XP once told me my external hard drive was full and asked if I wanted to delete my temporary files....160 GB combined of music, games, programs, etc that I had downloaded disappeared. It was nice enough to leave the folders though, so I could look through each one in disappointment. Thankfully, I pretty much got it all from one place, and it was fairly easy to get back over a couple months (music took the longest). Now there's 450GB of stuff, and it's in two different places, so I'm safe. That's also the last time I ever listen to Windows. And for the record, I really like Vista.
