I understand i need a indy ship to haul the stuff. I trained the anchoring skill also. I never used containers so i'm not sure how they work. What's the best/effective way to do that ?
Should i mine using a frigate with 2-3 mining laser, put the ore in a container then haul it back to the station with the indy ?
One thing i don't understand are these containers ? Can i carry a few containers in a frigate ? How much cargo space they take ? If i anchor them in space, they are safe until i get my indy ship to pick them up ?
Please tell me the most effective way to do that. Thanks.

Take the secure can out in your indy, anchor the can where you want to set up (under 10km from your target roid). Bring your frig/cruiser out & mine, put the ore from you cargo hold to you secure can. When the can fills up get your indy & clean it out. repeat.
giant secure cans take up 3000 if i remeber right, not sure about the other sizes.

Giant containers take 3000 m3, but hold 3900.
Remember to use Secure containers. You can protect access to them with a password.

By and far the best way to mine is to team up with another player. One in an Indy, and one is a ship optimized for digging, such as my mining Augurer (1 x miner2, 2 x names mining lasers, 2 x mining drones) This sort of set up with just two players will drag much more ore between them then either could do alone.
