Scout ahead first in a shuttle. Hell, I have safe spots in key systems where I leave a shuttle and just park my hauler there and switch over. Those suicide gankers are rather easy to spot with some experience.

Don Carn'age has lost around 300M isk in ships in 48 hours in that system. Oh and I'm not even counting 3 replacement clones for a near 3 year old player as well. Might want to up your price there don...errr...I mean big flaps.
