Well, it'd be as simple as updating the timer on your client to whatever the timer is on the person you're assisting. Pretty simple, really. If your timer is longer than that of the person you're assisting, then obviously no action is necessary.

Fantastic idea. I approve. Edit: Please make sure that sec penalties from remote support (logistics) are also included in this proposal! There's more to sec loss than just blowing stuff up, after all.

Just a voice of consideration. Denying insurance payouts to self-destructing ships has a very real effect on wormhole space. Sometimes self-destructing isn't really voluntary... I generally agree with the thread, otherwise.

Messy and inelegant. All this does is give hybrids a 9% DPS buff within the arbitrary range you've set, which screws with the conventional damage/falloff curve. If you want to buff their DPS, then just do it. If you want to make them more effectiv...

The medicine you're proposing seems worse than the disease it's supposed to solve. An appropriate tweak to remote-assistance aggression mechanics seems all that's necessary to fix this.

Technically, this isn't so much a way of addressing neutral -RR as it's addressing RR in general. An in-corporation logistics pilot can exploit the current instant-dock mechanics just as easily as an out-of-corp pilot can. This is really more abo...
