21. New Dev Blog: Those anomaly changes in full - in EVE Information Portal [original thread]
I would like to modestly propose a few changes to NPC corps and missions: -Characters should automatically be moved to an NPC corp after a month in a school corp -NPC corps other than school corps should be subject to faction war declarations -Mi...

Edited by: Abramul on 01/04/2011 23:37:39 Echoing one of the points several people have made, and adding a couple of my own: 1: It's essential that the user be able to control, site by site and browser-wide, exactly what functions can be us...

As far as low-end sites go, I've gotten 15-20m/hour (not counting loot/salvage) in a poorly fitted Typhoon running low-end sites. It's possible to make fair ISK in them, although not sure how it compares to L4s. My main ojection to this is that I...

If you want to increase the number of small alliances, why not: - Remove sovereignty bills for constellation-and-smaller alliances. (Keep bills for strategic upgrades, except maybe cyno jammer) - Add smaller, cheaper versions of Ihubs and upgrades...

29. New Dev Blog: Introducing steps to improve network performace of EVE - in EVE Information Portal [original thread]
Edited by: Abramul on 23/03/2011 13:39:20 I assume it's not possible for the end-user (or the game client) to force a specific route? (Nice work, by the way. Hadn't realized the internet was this blind; suppose it's probably a result of it be...

By the way, have you looked into whether suppressing Jita local (wormhole mode would probably be easiest) would improve performance? Probably nowhere near as effective as this, but depending on how you have things set up, might be an easy way to g...

Well, for Drake vs. Maelstrom, looks like it comes out to 8.5:1 compared to 44:1 previously. Of course, you as mentioned that's not exactly the most precise or current result, but still interesting.

On a less joking note, do you happen to have on-hand how the per-ship CPU use of a heavy missile drake compares to that of an 1400mm artillery Maelstrom or mega pulse Armageddon? The previous graph lists repeats per second, but that sounds like it...
