1. Funding a third-party tool through kickstarter? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
No. I'm working on a third party tool. Trouble is, what with work, 1 young child and another on the way, I get no more than an hour or so per day to work on it. At that rate, it'll be at least a year before it's done. I was toying with the idea o...

3. Funding a third-party tool through kickstarter? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Does anyone know if this is allowed? I understand that third-party apps accepting donations are fine, but charging RL $s is not fine (unless you first make arrangements with legal@ccp..) Kickstarter is somewhere between those two so... ?

7. What's the deal with YAML? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
I remember some time ago (a year or so maybe?) there was a dev blog about moving all the data from the static dump to YAML format. Is this still happening? what's the status of that project? I'm writing a third party app and wondering how much ti...

10. NEW 3rd party EULA EVE online - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Hmm. So still can't charge actual money for third party apps. That is unfortunate. I'll probably carry on with my project as I enjoy it and I've learnt a lot from it so far but it's less likely to ever see the light of day as there is less motiva...

11. The '3rd party developers charging real money' thing - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Hey all, Just wondered what the situation was with this. I remember a dev blog around the start of the year that talked about it. If I remember rightly, there were several issues with it that saw strong reactions from the community and so the pla...

13. Is this considered botting? (IGB/Javascript) - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
IMO, the answer is 'It depends what the script is doing' Clearly you could be doing something that is not an issue at all. You could also be doing something that goes against the EULA. You really need to specify what it is that you're doing befor...

14. 9,1000 MachoNet cache files = EVE Cache Monitor (ECM) Beta 1 - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Originally by: Jerera Because it's closed-source, Windows-only and seems a bit overkill, I quickly wrote a shell replacement that does the job. If you want to run it periodically just use cron. #!/bin/sh # Keep 100 cache files KEEP=100 C...

15. 9,1000 MachoNet cache files = EVE Cache Monitor (ECM) Beta 1 - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Excellent work. I couldn't believe it when I heard that the reason for clearing the cache is because it gets too many files in the directory. (for those who don't know, windows starts to spaz out once you have more than a couple of thousand files...

20. Problem with assets API - loaded ammo/charges not always appearing - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
