145. defender missiles - how to improve? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Simple solution to make them much more usable, give them the ability to fire at hostile drones in your vicinity. They do less damage than a smartbomb but would have considerably better range on smaller ships and would make a good "fire and forget...

Edited by: Blutreiter on 27/03/2008 14:54:14 What about an area-effect repair ability, like a heavy-interdictor bubble with... say... somewhere between 2-5km range? I would let the repairfields have stacking penalty, so multiple ships won't c...

147. shield tanking Arbitrator? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
...just saw that you're looking for PvP setups. In that case, shieldtanked Arbis are only good in fleets to soak up some ridiculous damage for a t1 cruiser. Must-have IMHO is still the Heavy Missile Launcher with a pack of FoF missiles in your c...

151. Is it just me or have The Eve Server/my client become much slower. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I solved those problems by moving the EVE cache files to a ramdisk. Whatever this "MachoNet" folder is used for, mine was 75 MB big with over 12000 files. Craploads of itty-bitty tiny files on a harddrive are always a bottleneck. Cogito ergo b...
