1. Skill Training Multiple Characters - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
There is defintely a difference to other mmos training due to being time based, rather han action based. On eve you set off a skill for five days, unlike other mmo there is no action I can take to speed that up. Also for those five days, if all I ...

2. Where are all the new players everyone was talking about? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Think about what you are typing. I don't believe removing a set of skills from a game has ever been a marketing tactic. See it advertised anywhere? No. What it will do is encourage new players to stay. Learning skills were always a waste of time a...

3. Consolidation of Core Skills - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Just to counter one earlier point of "why do you think you should be able to take on a five year old character". The simple answer is that you have too. Many other mmorpg herd players to other parts of the world as they progress. In eve 0.4 space ...

4. Pirates should be pirates! - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Originally by: Mel Lifera Originally by: Bronomanon In low sec stop the gates from allowing you to jump if you have an aggression warning. ItĘs that simple. Firstly, why would all the people running the gates allow a criminal, that...

6. Pirates should be pirates! - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
I love it. Stay in high sec and people are gutless wimps. Go to low sec and get gate camped to oblivion.

7. Pirates should be pirates! - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Originally by: Helicity Boson maybe if there was actually anything to pirate , other than on gates 99% of the time, we'd stop gatecamping. Until then. Suck it. Have you ever thought that they'd be people in the belts to pirate if ...

8. Pirates should be pirates! - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Quote: EVE is a thinking person's game. If you don't enjoy thinking, or are simply too stupid to do it, you're in the wrong game. IMHO there's little thinking that goes into sitting outside a gate. Perhaps that's just me, but seeing the...

9. Pirates should be pirates! - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Sounds to me like at every stage CCP have tried to stop it, so I don't see how it's not a broken game mechanic. When something is sooo stacked to one side, from a purely game design standpoint, there's something wrong.

10. Pirates should be pirates! - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Just to confirm. My original post was not to suggest no pvp or even no gate camping. My intention was to suggest that in low sec it should be far harder and more dangerous to gatecamp than it is. Right now all advantages go to the campers and that...

13. Pirates should be pirates! - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
First post on the forum but on-and-off player for years. Having returned to Eve after a few years break it feels like one major element of the game is broken, let me explain. Eve has always been segmented into the safe (high sec), partially safe ...
