Make sure you always use Navy Cap boosters too, as they are of a smaller physical size compared to the normal versions, and consequently you can fit more of them in the ancillary booster :)

Yeah the cheapness is a v. v. good thing too, particularly if you're new to suspect status and all that! Pretty much you do exactly what you said! I'd create a bunch of safe spots around the system first though, and when you land in the mission ...
