the last poster is correct. The only effective combo I've found so far is a defender launcher backed up by a smart bomb too catch those that getr through.

You could also give missles lots of interia for big missles and very low inertia for small missles. Lot of interia = turns slow which is great for cruise missles and torps. They can still turn but not very fast and need large distances too do ...
