1. Kestrel the REAL Caldari Combat Frigate. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Edited by: Darryl Ward on 25/07/2011 17:34:19 Indeed, I use that same fit too. It's nasty. I do 2 anti-em and 1 anti-therm rig though, to even out resists. Nice thing too is, that fit is not hard to train for and its dirt cheap. Great for new...

2. Rail Tengu why the hate? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
If the rail Tengu just works better for you, then you did it all wrong. Rail Tengu = fail Tengu. You can fit a Tengu out like a Drake, and it's marginally better. You can also go with a ganky fit that melts L4 missions. You can't do that with a ...

3. Get Rid of Size dependant Bonuses? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
This is an awful idea. If you want to grind low level missions, use a Kestrel or Caracal, assuming you can't fly an assault frigate.

4. Scorpion ? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
A very good use for a Scorp is in WHs C4 - C6. Makes a nice long range jammer. It's good for PvP too, in that role. Scorp damage is just not there. You can ignore its ECM bonus and fit it out to shield tank, but it just ****es on targets instead o...

5. Something Wierd - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Describe what it did. If you fly "up" or "down" just right, you can do a pretty convincing barrel roll.

6. Basic questions about recon (Falcon)/covert ops and cloaking - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
For question 2, once you activate the cloak, you will cloak, and any modules currently active will finish their cycle. So, you could experience the last cycle of your MWD while cloaked. People often do this. Once you are cloaked you can't activate...

7. Smartbomb Radius - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
You could probably figure it out experimentally using 2 ships. Two ships on grid know their distance from each other, I imagine the radius you are looking for begins based on one ship's distance from another. If you have access to supers, you can...

8. (Relatively) New Charcter Harbinger Build - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
It's hard to not comment on the fact that you are shield tanking. You say it's a problem that your cap is not stable, and it is, but the reason why is because you're wasting it on invulernability fields. If you're going to shield tank a binger, ...

9. Wich Ship for lvl1 Epic Arc? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I did the whole thing in a Punisher, except for Dagan (you can't break his tank in a Punisher...). I had very low skills when I did it, around 3 million SP. The last "boss" before Dagan was really tough, I had to experiment with fittings to get hi...

10. Torps in PVE? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
You rely on drones against smaller targets. Get Drones to V, and get Drone Interfacing (20% damage boost for drones per level).

11. No one uses Shield Booster - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Buffer tank keeps you alive the longest, and requires minimal oversight. Shields recharge automatically, and if you do survive a battle you can probably dock up to repair shields. The booster can also repair your shields, but it won't do you much...

12. Railguns and Missiles - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
The problem with being a good sniper in PvP is that your enemy can just warp away. This makes sniping solo nearly impossible, you would have to alpha strike targets. Since you must be close to point someone, most people PvPing will expect to fight...

13. Stacked Volley vs Single Fire? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
The only time that ungrouping gives you any sort of advantage is if there are wasted missiles in a volley. So, if it only takes 3/7 missiles to kill something, firing all 7 at it is a waste.

14. Question about linked weapons - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
This is not true when it comes to missiles and your enemy is using defenders. This applies mostly to PvE, but when grouped, missiles only face 1 defender at most. If you fire them individually, each missile has a chance to run into a defender.

15. how to fit a tengu - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Build it in EFT, check if cap is stable? Cap stability is not everything, you need at a minimum 2 minutes of cap stability to be effective. It's not like you always run everything. That's a HAM tengu, that's why it has a target painter, because ...

16. Baby's First Tengu - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I would do level 4's well before I went into low sec with a Tengu. I would at least make my money back with it before I gambled it. Even in high sec, a Tengu is a target for suicide gankers, in low sec it screams "kill me". If you can fit into a ...

17. Tengu - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
It excels at missions. I like this fit for missions: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/43943-Tengu-lvl4-F-CK-YOUR-FACE.html Yes, you can easily make your money back with this. You could also fit out an exploration tengu and just cruise through ...

18. Ship Consolidation - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
There are about 100 sub-cap PvP capable ships. Of those 100, some are going to be better than others in their class. No matter what CCP does, only a small portion of them are going to be considered best. If CCP boosts some that aren't best, then t...

19. Railguns vs. Blasters - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
In PvE, range is usually preferred, so that would be railguns. Since you're Gallente, do take the tip and do projectiles instead. These are a more useful weapon in the long run, if you are considering PvP (and even if you aren't). Hyrbids are sup...

20. Raven Invulnerability Fields. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
That might be a bad idea. Invulnerability field uses more cap, and while it provides better rainbow tank, the better tank for missions is specific to what you are fighting. So, all in all, on average your tank will be weaker, and use more cap. The...
