1802. Web based application - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Ok got to think about how to show what I've been working on without showing any of our live data and still give you a little feel for it too. Best outline I could think of was the nav from it with just the index page showing :) You can download it...

Yeah from what little I know about them I wouldn't think it was the best fit. The problem I see with any framework is you have to learn it to do something we all seem to already know how to do which is PHP ;) I think it would be great to use a fra...

1804. Web based application - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Don't think anyone really has to abandon a project but more that we take the best of each and work together on combining some code. I won't say mine is the best but I'm sure that part of it could be used by others and I've even released a small pa...

1807. Backstory XML ontology - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Yeah I know about learning new tools to make things easier just was thinking something with an already published open format that others might also have experience with might be a good idea. Would be really helpful if CCP was to change things on t...

1808. Question about API caching. - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
So from what Jethro said using multiple characters in same corp doesn't get you any newer data and is just a waste of time and bandwidth which is what I thought but good to know I was right :) -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easie...

1810. PLEASE MAKE API SERVER RFC2616 COMPLIANT - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
I don't know what's so dreadful about RESTful XML. It is as I understand it one way of doing Web Services and work across all platforms and programming languages. There may be some issues with the software CCP choose to use in their implementation...

1811. Question about API caching. - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
From what I've seen using the transactions and journal APIs CCP cache the results on the first query you make on any of the them and then just returns that result until first query after the cache until time where they repeat the cycle. For exampl...

1812. Backstory XML ontology - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Edited by: Dragonaire on 18/10/2008 18:19:11 Just a suggestion why not use a DOCBook format then no real need to re-invent the wheel to output it in everything from plain text, html, or PDFs? For that matter would be nice if CCP did that to st...
