the reason you can only see the region you're in is because it limits lag. imagine loading all the orders from the entire universe. instead, why not have a mode that checks other region's markets, but requires you to be in a comms hub to do so?

you might want to clarify a little bit. for the first few posts i thought you were suggesting that they give away drakes, hurricanes, and hyperions in the tutorial missions. but yeah, its silly to not use every model they've got for rats.
