EVE has been unable to close itself correctly for a while now. To avoid the problem happening, minimize the game if in fullscreen, right-click the game on your taskbar, and select Close. New Eden Research , where your research gets done!

I also have the background issue. Initially I thought it was because EVE was running in 16-bit color, but even at 32-bit it does that. New Eden Research , where your research gets done!

As been said, it's the fitting window that's causing the crashes, not changing ships itself. If you close the fitting window before changing ships and open it again when done, it should work just fine. New Eden Research , where your research ge...
