You can get the 360 controllers to work on a pc, as long as you have a wired one or a charge and play cable. As far as it working for eve i'd say no since Eve doesn't support controllers. If it did it'd be the most god awkward thing to use though ...

The solution is not to do missions in low sec, it isn't really worth it. Either that or bring more friends to do the mission, or keep hitting your scanner at max range and 360 degrees and watch for a scan probe, if one appears dock up for the nigh...
