Update to wine 1.7. 1.6 that is included stock on many Linux distros is missing root certs. In ubuntu: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install wine1.7

For those considering Ubuntu 15.04: IMO, it is not worth it. You don't need it for anything of importance yet, most likely. They have only promised 9 months of patches. You will constantly have to mess with it. Just stick with 14.04 LTS. Next LTS ...

You are missing a key variable in your launch scripts using the launcher: /desktop=eve2 This defines a separate desktop per client. MUCH easier to play with. Try editing the file ~/bin/v1 and ~/bin/v2 to match the patch where you installed eve.
