There is NO reason to fit anything above the smallest charge it can use. Navy charges are smaller than regular as well so use that to get maximum amoumt of boosts out of it. Also always overheat it, you get more shield from it then.

I only ever do missions for standings these days, most other activities earn you more for the time spent doing it. What makes EvE interesting isn't the solo content but doing stuff with others.

Mach is probably still the best blitzer because of its speed and agility while maintaining high dps. You likely won't need a very heavy tank with it either.

Destroyers tend to work well enough really, as just about all targets are frigates.. Just use long range weapons on them. What would help a lot would be to know what you are skilling into. Drones, projectiles, lasers, or hybrids?
