1. MacBook Retina + Parallels + EVE: Has anyone made it work? - in Macintosh [original thread]
Right now I bootcamp Windows 7 but, it's a pain having to reboot every time I want to play EVE. And its impossible to monitor things while I do "other stuff" (work)... I've tried running EVE in Windows 8, under Parallels 9. This is on my MacBook ...

2. New MacBook Pros - in Macintosh [original thread]
Someone asked about Parallels on rMBP... No luck here. I did just upgrade to the latest Parallels, and after doing so I saw a post on a Parallels support forum that hints pretty strongly that the latest update broke EVE/Parallels. I did not, howe...

3. Rendering issues under Trinity 1.1 - in Macintosh [original thread]
Overall, after the 1.1 patch I think things are a bit better. Graphics quality is slightly higher; performance seems to be better, but is definitely still substandard. Fans run at full speed on a regular basis (using a MacBook Pro C2 Duo, 4GB RAM)...

4. Antialiasing - in Macintosh [original thread]
I wasn't aware that antialiasing was supported on any platform. (Last time I ran the premium client on XP I can't recall... but I don't remember it looking nicely antialiased. Premium content patch is reportedly going to be the next major relea...

5. Should I buy a mac? - in Macintosh [original thread]
I've got a MacBook Pro (from what I hear, a plain MacBook won't cut it) and have been occasionally frustrated but mostly happy with the Mac EVE client. If you do a lot of PvP you'll probably want to set up a BootCamp partition, install XP, and reb...

6. A plea to CCP - in Macintosh [original thread]
I too am horribly disappointed with the EVE Mac client. I think as Mac users we may be a bit spoiled and expect things to work flawlessly most of the time -- from what I gather in the Windows forum, the EVE client has its problems over there (incl...

7. Ship Manifests? - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
/signed Would love to see this. The UI is kinda awkward in places... and this is one of the worst. Thanks for the tips on using containers tho... good idea. That will make it a little better.

8. Trinity Patch - in Macintosh [original thread]
That's right. For what it's worth, the patch worked for me... but I've heard of others having problems patching, and having to download a new install. (Also, you might want to try a reboot if you run into problems after the new install... again, ...

9. Mac Premium Graphics? - in Macintosh [original thread]
Anyone know if MacBookPro graphics cards (GeForce 8600M GT, 256MB) will be in the category of cards supported by premium content (when it arrives)?

10. Eve-online running on Mac os X (Leopard) - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
I've been playing EVE on Leopard now for a few weeks. Overall, I'd say the game experience is great, but there are clearly a lot of glitches (most cosmetic), a few broken features (I can work around them, but inconvenient) and one major problem: P...

11. Eve voice + mac - in Macintosh [original thread]
So, will EVE Voice replace TS? What about Vent, that seems to be the one-and-only over on the WoW servers... does anyone use Vent in EVE?

12. Thanks CCP - in Macintosh [original thread]
My thanks too CCP! Keep up the good work... and for what it's worth, I'll keep hoping for an OpenGL version one day and a truly native Mac client.

13. whats best to learn pvp in ship wise - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
My 2 cents: Get to know your ship really well, and choose some specializations and know what your limits are. I love my Punisher, which is equipped for relatively long range combat. It rocks at 22-25km out. The closer I get, the weaker I get. Deve...

14. 4mmog is a phising scam - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I just don't get it. Let me see. You're going to pay a monthly fee for EVE, so that you can login and have fun. But then, lacking the time to play the game, you'll pay someone else to earn ISK for you... and, for those really short on time, act...

15. Anybody Running On A Mac Pro? - in Macintosh [original thread]
Yes. It works great. I'm running on a MacBook Pro with 4GB of RAM (recent model, so dual-core 2.4ghz) and it works great... no performance issues at all, good frame rate, and I usually run at 1920x1200 full screen.

17. Wierd graphical errors on mac client - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]

18. Graphics settings are resetting when I log out - in Macintosh [original thread]

19. POLL: Is the Mac client playable enough to get a subscription? - in Macintosh [original thread]
I'll register a tentative Yes, though I'm not happy with the current situation. I live in fear of a lockup during a PvP battle and ending up pod killed... But if the lockup issues are fixed, totally YES. If the texture problems are also fixed, ...

20. Client freeze - in Macintosh [original thread]
More of the same here. I'm convinced the lockups are random. Typically I can look forward to one or more hours of play before it happens. In some cases, I experience "partial" lockups, where the game starts to become very, very slow. In both case...
