I had this... Do you have an office in the station you are placing the advert in? The reason I ask is that I didn't (oops) then I rented an office and it worked. Otherwise it was the same scenario as the OP describes.

Within EVE in settings there is usually two graphics cards listed. Top being primary, bottom being secondary. Try adjusting that. You can override an errant monitor settings by using Evelauncher. Perhaps give that a shot? Linkage Is Researc...

while the advice offered in this thread might seem to be sound on the surface, closer inspection using logserver reveals the server / client session control is breaking. Nothing to do with ISP's - everything to do with EVE.
