122. 9th Anniversary Gifts - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Hah, I chose a Vherokior because they remined me of the Fremen. I took the implants, since I had forgotten about using implants and they were free. Implants seem to be pretty expensive, moreso than the ships I can fly.

123. Calling fellow EVElings....... - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Hey OP. Just wrapping up my third week in game, it was kind of rocky at first but thanks to some established players I got my bearings. Like Petrus said, while new to us the game has been around a long time, and there are numerous guides from ove...

124. Combat Scanning - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Lost Greybeard wrote: The subtlety of COMBAT scanning is that, while most people in a high-sec system couldn't give less of a **** about normal probes on d-scan, if they see "combat" probes they know exactly what you're doing, and the longer yo...

125. Combat Scanning - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Quote: First, what do you mean by the "deadspace portions" of the system? Missions can pop up pretty much anywhere, so you need to start with a very wide scan. Quote: So what happened after the first find? Did I make a mistake using too ma...

126. Combat Scanning - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I read up on Kahega's ninja looting/salvaging guide, and at his suggestion also listened in on the Ninja Dojo channel last night. It came time to try scanning down a mission runner for the first time, and I was pretty juiced to cause some (very mi...

127. How does one 'make it' past the trial? - in EVE Trial Citizens Q&A [original thread]
This thread was the best decision I've made so far, due to the responses I got from everyone. So thanks for that. Bought my time code last night, but didn't get to play due to schoolwork. Guess I will start looking into corps, been told to try to...

128. How does one 'make it' past the trial? - in EVE Trial Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Tried again tonight, didn't find any miners, but purchased a skillbook in a lowsec station and went to go pick it up. The system was very quiet, but I noticed there were a lot of asteroid belts, and since I was the only pilot in system I decided ...

129. How does one 'make it' past the trial? - in EVE Trial Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I tried can-flipping with no success. I went 20 or so jumps into Amarr territory since I figured I should try stealing from the 'bad guys'. I used the directional scan and warped to the asteroid belts but all I found were giant secure containers. ...

130. How does one 'make it' past the trial? - in EVE Trial Citizens Q&A [original thread]
It just seems odd to me that the deck appears stacked against you if you're just picking up the game on a whim. A bit flustering trying to force fun. But this post has shown better advice than two weeks asking around in game and trying to fill in...

131. How does one 'make it' past the trial? - in EVE Trial Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I think the post body is a complaint. The question is in the post title. Based on your post, the implicit answer is to 'find a niche', which I guess is one thing I'm failing to do. I know mission hopping isn't cutting it, though.

132. How does one 'make it' past the trial? - in EVE Trial Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I'm in the final 2 days of my trial and I'm sorry to say I don't feel compelled to go on playing. Obviously I haven't been able to explore much of the game since I just got sent from tutorials to missions which are more dull than your standard MMO...

133. NEX Aurum Prices - 12000 Aurum for a vanity item (45$)? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Wait, this was CCPs way of getting me to wardec a bunch random strangers, right? Cos that's what I'm thinking of doing when I see someone sporting a vanity item and actually buying into this horseshat.
