Turning off trails, turrets, and drone models didn't help for me. I'm on "Box 2" listed in my earlier post, preview of any Tech III Cruiser crashes EVE. (Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit, Wine 1.4, 8 GB RAM, 9300GE, 260.19.06 driver binaries)
